BRETT PREBBLE

Brett Prebble began his career in Melbourne where he was crowned champion apprentice jockey before transferring into a successful senior rider.

Despite being in heavy demand by plenty of leading stables, in 2002 Prebble took up a riding contract in Hong Kong with two Melbourne Jockey Premierships to his name.

Prebble has finished runner up in the Hong Kong Jockey Premiership on six occasions, his first Hong Kong Group 1 success coming with Bullish Luck in the 2006 Champions Mile.

In 2010, Prebble secured his biggest win when partnering Crystal Lilly to victory in the Group 1 Golden Slipper, also winning the Group 1 Melbourne Cup with Green Moon in 2012.

Prebble is a highly regarded jockey in both Hong Kong and Australia where he continues to ride Group 1 winners on regular occasions.

In 2018 Prebble moved back to Australia to ride on a permanent basis.
