Her Stawell performance on Sunday secured one of the more memorable country cup triumphs in recent times, and Rebecca Morrissey is hoping her little pocket rocket Wish Upona Dream can produce the goods again this weekend at Gunbower.

The pint-sized squaregaiter delivered an incredible front-running display in the Stawell Trotters Cup, where she tore along out in front by a huge margin before holding on to score by 16.7m over a game Suga Daddy.

It was a career highlight for Morrissey, who only trains a small team at her Longlea base and admits Sunday's result sits right up alongside the mare's Group 2 Lunar Lass and Boort Cup wins.

"Fair dinkum, I would have watched that replay 20 times without a doubt and I'm still on a high from it," Morrissey said. "It's the most spectacular call and it just really made it."

Morrissey has opted to give the daughter of Wishing Stone a light week on the training track and has utilised a nearby water walker to freshen her legs ahead of this Sunday's Cohuna Car Sales / Bill Poxon Memorial Gunbower Trotters Cup.

"I think I'll get away with it this once – you wouldn't be able to back her up the week after…," Morrissey said.

"She's pretty tough, she hasn't lightened off at all in herself. She'll be going back to the water walker tomorrow and having an easy day.

"If the race is run to suit, I definitely have confidence that she will be there at the finish."

The five-year-old will be partnered by regular driver Michael Bellman from the 10m tape, where she will join Blue Coman (Greg Norman, 10m), Illawong Stardust (Jim O'Sullivan, 20m) and Berriesandcherries (Donna Castles, 30m) on handicaps.

Wish Upona Dream ran in last year's Gunbower Trotters Cup and finished fourth behind Bitta Irish Luck.

The other big feature on Sunday is the travla Gunbower Pacing Cup, which will see fellow Stawell winner Kendys Butterfly chase a second-straight country feature.

Paul Parsons' mare stormed home to win last weekend's Stawell Pacing Cup Final and looms as one of the key chances in the $12,000 event for driver Jackie Barker.

The class runners in the field include Major Meister (Tori Hutchins), Captain Pins (Denis McIntyre), Western Sonador (Stephen O'Donoghue) and Arggghhh (David Miles).

All winners on Sunday take home a six-pack of travla beer, while Santa will make a special visit to the track using a mode of transport from yester-year.

Every starter on the day will receive one entry into a raffle for a free service to The Storm Inside (donated by Alabar Farms) and Skyvalley (courtesy of Aldebaran Park), with both prizes drawn during the Gunbower meeting.

The club will use the day to honour late president Roger Brereton, who passed away suddenly in October.
