A tough performance from Maywyns Jewel provided one punter with a big $13,750 collect at Bendigo last week.

The TAB customer placed $2500 on the Ashley Manton-trained runner at $5.50 before her win in the Bendigo Locksmiths Mares Pace.

The result came in the same race that the TAB took a $5000 bet on Tooby Gold, who closed off nicely to be beaten less than 2m in third.
