Two close seconds in Sydney should have Anythink Goes ready to strike when she heads north for Saturday’s Doomben meeting.

Matthew Smith's mare hasn't missed by much in her last two outings in the harbour city, racing on pace last start and holding on well to finish a neck back over 1500m at Rosehill.

Anythink Goes is yet to miss a place at the mile and James Orman rides. She is well placed to go one better.

Tony Gollan's five-year-old Amathuba should be reaching her peak when she lines up earlier on the program.

The mare ran a better race when second-up last start, finishing strongly for a close third over this trip at Eagle Farm.

She usually performs well third run in and looks close to a win.
