Say From SA: Morphettville Parks – Saturday, 17th February 2024

A run of close finishes in Melbourne has Helix raring to go as he heads across the border on Saturday at Morphettville Parks.

The in-form Clinton Mcdonald team look to keep the ball rolling on Saturday and have four-year-old gelding Helix perfectly placed to do so.

The son of Flying Artie hasn't been beaten far in his last four efforts in Melbourne and carries the A1 form lines into this contest.

Despite dropping slightly in grade, Helix gets in gets in low at the weights and will take plenty of stopping if he's just able to hold his form.

Boasting ratings of 93,98 & 98, respectively in his last three starts, a similar display on Saturday would require his main danger Le Ferrari to produce another career peak to be competitive.

Taking no spoils with the early price, probably best to hold fire until the jump and hope for black figures. If not, he looks a lock for multi players.

In the following race, Pappiana from the W Clarken & N O'Shea looks a progressive type and comes up as this week's value play.

Only warming to her task late on debut, the three-year-old Pierro filly lengthened nicely over the concluding stages when savaging the line for fifth.

Drawn to take closer order this time with Kayla Crowther sticking, Pappiana is sure to have come on with the race experience and will very tough to stop if they can somewhat utilise the gate.
