RACE 1 - EN FRANCAIS (3) was below her best last start when tackling much tougher opposition in the G3 Tesio Stakes at Moonee Valley. Rates highly on best figures and is cherry-ripe now. Bold showing anticipated. THIRSTY GUEST (5) continued his solid form last start when beaten a length here as a firm favourite over the same trip. The booking of leading hoop Jake Toeroek is a good push for his chances and gets the benefit of a low draw. Sure to be very competitive. PRINCE JOFRA (2) returns from a midfield finish at Flemington having scored on this side of the border two back. Has won five on nine at this distance. Player. MAGNETIC EDGE (6) is one for the exotics on best figures.

RACE 2 - POISON CHALICE (4) caught plenty of eyes last start at Flemington when rattling home from a rearward. Strikes an easier assignment this time and is drawn to settle much closer from a kinder draw. Leading player. JENKINS (2) couldn't bring up the hat-trick at the latest but still produced a strong effort to finish second. Down in the weights on last run and is drawn to get the cosy trail. Only needs to hold his form to be very competitive. MIDNIGHT MASS (3) lengthened nicely here last start to make it two on the bounce. Open to further improvement at this stage of the prep but will find this tougher. In the mix. SUPERIOR SAM (8) hasn't taken a step wrong in his last three, scoring in all. Will need to go up a rung or two this time but winning form is hard to ignore. YURI ROYALE (1) always warrants safekeeping on best efforts.

RACE 3 - STUPENDOUS (11) loomed up as the winner but just lacked the winning blow late. Should be ready to show her best now. Leading contender. BONA FIDE STAR (1) finds the maiden win elusive but has produced figures more than good enough to salute if he's able to replicate. Worth another chance. VOLTAGE POINT (7) turned in an encouraging run first-up, settling well back then winding up nicely to finish fifth and only beaten 1.9L. Is sure to have come on with that run under his belt and can take closer order from the better draw this time. Warrants serious consideration. PRIDE OF SHALAA (5) was an eye-catcher here last start when closing off nicely into a midfield finish. Expect him to be more focused with the blinkers going on first time.

RACE 4 - APACHE STAR (3) was denied a lip of resuming a winner last start on the Parks surface. Strips fitter and gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claimer piloting from a low gate. Will prove tough to stop. ALL SO CLEAR (1) missed the frame narrowly last start at Bendigo in a blanket finish. That followed a run of two wins on end. Shouldn't find this as tough and gets the key booking of Jake Toeroek. The main danger WHISKEY 'N' WOMEN (2) was an impressive winner first up but couldn't quite back it up last time out here. Likely improver third up. TEST THE LAW (4) showed good early toe here at the latest but couldn't go on with it late. Low draw assists and is worth keeping safe.

RACE 5 - BAMYAN BUDDHA (7) has left himself with too much to do in both runs back but has been savaging the line. Can take closer order this time and should be nearing his peak now. GRINZINGER PRINCE (1) found the line nicely to finish in the frame last start on the Parks surface, following up his impressive fresh win. Emily Finnegan who has scored on him two times retains the mount and steps out to a winning trip. Bold showing expected. SHOOTOOSE (6) came with a huge run from well back fresh to grab second. Should improve with that run under the belt and gets weight relief. Among the chief contenders. LOPE DE WOLF (4) is an each-way player.

RACE 6 - LONG ARM (1) was no match for the tearaway winner at Caulfield last start but battled away stoically to the task at hand and kept coming. Nowhere near as tough this time. Has the talent to find the winners' list. MORTY (2) settled well back then made solid inroads to finish midfield last time out in the Listed John Letts Cup. Tackles a longer journey this time and shoulders a strong record at this venue. One of the leading chances. HASTA LA FIORENTE (3) couldn't threaten the winner last start at Horsham but chased soundly to hold down second. Goes well over this course and distance and is in the mix. SHADOW HAWK (8) rates well on best efforts and is one for exotic players.

RACE 7 - CHIPSON (1) never looked likely last start after settling a mile back but did make some solid in-roads in the run home to finish midfield. Sticky draw to overcome but deserves another chance on best figures. RABTAT (4) progressed nicely second up when letting down nicely to fall just shy of the frame at Strathalbyn. Stepping up a level this time but is open to further improvement. One of the key players. DELIGHTFUL SHECKY (2) built on a nice second two starts back at Morphettville Parks with success as favourite at Balaklava. Comes in on the fresh side and another win isn't out of the question. SOUTHERN SHOOTER (7) comes off a maiden win and has upside so could go on with it.

RACE 8 - LADY SIMONE (6) proved too good for them last start when scoring with a bit up her sleeve here. Only rises slightly in the weights and draws better this time with hot hand hoop Jake Toeroek sticking. SECOND TO NUN (9) has hit the line hard in her two runs back, without being able to pay the punters. Strips fitter and is drawn well. Sure to be charging hard at the business end. STARLITE VALLEY (4) battled away gamely into the minor placings when resuming here last start. Goes well over this track and trip and has never missed the frame when second-up. Capable of featuring prominently. TOSEN WATER (5) lived up to market expectation here last time out when scoring as favourite. Has a fair record at this track and is drawn well. Among the chances.

RACE 9 - ORNAMENTAL LADY (7) was denied narrowly of resuming a winner here two back but struggled to follow it up last time when below her best. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so expect her to give a bold sight and prove tough to reel in. ZUFASTA (8) is going better than his results results suggest. Cherry-ripe now and gets the key booking of leading rider Jake Toeroek. Take seriously. ALL BEANS (4) is progressing well this preparation. Opened with a fourth at Bordertown two starts back then got the job done by a head last time out here. Open to further improvement and is drawn favourably. Can give this a big shake. WINNING REVOLUTION (3) resumes and rates highly on best efforts. Best of the rest.
