RACE 1 - SIX STARS (6) finds the maiden win elusive but it certainly hasn't been without trying. Came close to shedding the tag four weeks ago on the Parks track. Comes in on the fresh side and is drawn to enjoy all the favours with gun hoop Toeroek reuniting. Ready. HALLIWELL (10) was an eye-catcher on debut at HQ two week ago. Is sure to have improved with that run under the belt and should appreciate the extra journey. Bold showing anticipated. GRINT (3) continues to knock on the door but just struggles to land the winning blow. Interesting to note the application of blinkers first time. Has another tricky draw to overcome but is expected to feature. SUMAMBISTARR (14) gave a bold sight here last start only to concede late. Strips fitter and gets a key jockey switch with Holder taking over. Don't dismiss. Can also make a smaller case for TENTERK (1) who has just missed in his last four starts. Keep safe.

RACE 2 - ASPEN COLORADO (5) doesn't win out of turn but has turned in some performances this campaign. Wasn't far away last start at Bendigo and gets some significant weight off. Crowther piloting from a low draw also reads favourably. Leading player. EXALTED FIRE (1) didn't give his rivals a sniff two back on the Parks track and then followed it up with another solid display at Murray Bridge. Ticking along nicely and only has to hold his form to be in the finish. OUTTA COMPTON (4) showed plenty of ticker to score two back at the Bridge and then was competitive at Sandown-Hillside last start. Gets in well at the weights and is another that is drawn well. Right in this. TEST THE LAW (3) dug deep to hold off his rivals and get the verdict last start, beating home Exalted Fire by 1.6L. Carries more weight this time but has to be included. CROWN MINT (7) progressed sharply second up when finishing in the frame at long odds at Morphettville. Further improvement to come and is worth considering.

RACE 3 - CHAMBERS BAY (2) skyrocketed back to form last start when making very light work of his rivals here in testing conditions. Is 2/2 at the track and is every chance of remaining undefeated with the benefit of Crowther sticking from the inside alley. The one to beat. RESERVOIR DOG (4) showed good improvement last start when driving hard to get the verdict here 10 days ago. Can continue to take the right steps forward. Fellow last start winner SAINT MICHAEL (6) lead pillar-to-post to shed his maiden tag at Balaklava. Would be silly not to employ the same tactics under the light weight. Can make smaller cases for APEROL SPRINT (8) and ROCKBARTON ROAD (5).

RACE 4 - HARD PRINCE (2) hasn't done a great deal wrong this campaign and has been very competitive in every start. Draws to get the gun run with state's leading hoop Jake Toeroek reuniting. Expect him to take plenty of stitching. BONA FIDE STAR (1) beat home Hard Prince by 0.4L last start at HQ. Concedes 1.5kgs to him now but warrants plenty of consideration. NAVY GOLD (4) progressed nicely second-up when lengthening nicely in the lane to score handsomely at Balaklava. Tougher this time but has more to offer. CHEROKEE MISS (6) finished alongside Bona Fide Star & Hard Prince last start. Gets in best at the weights of the three, just seems to have forgotten how to win. Keep safe. FLYING ASSASSIN (5) is knocking on the door and is one for the exotics.

RACE 5 - POINTLESS PRAISE (3) tried hard in the lane fresh but just peaked on his run late to finish fourth. Sure to have improved with that run under the belt and gets a key jockey switch with Toeroek taking over. The one to beat. CHIPSON (1) flashed home to finish half a length behind Pointless Praise last start at HQ. Should appreciate stepping out the extra journey and only has to repeat his effort to be featuring. It was a bit of a non-contest for LOMAX (2) first-up when resuming well shy of a preferred trip and always well back. Shoulders a strong record over this journey and rates highly on best figures. Could just need another run or two but has to be kept on side. CAPRICORN RIDGE (4) is another that has been off the mark in his last two but can turn things back around with Crowther hopping on. SET TO PROPHET (6) has failed to threaten in his last two when well below his best. Easier this time as he drops back in trip. Don't dismiss lightly.

RACE 6 - Good race. SWEET BABY BOOM (6) just missed making it back-to-back wins last start after scoring stylishly two back. Cherry-ripe now and only has to hold her form over this trip she relishes to be in the finish again. KLABEL (5) was better last start when lengthening nicely in the lane to get the verdict at Murray Bridge. Still has more to offer and will take plenty of benefit from reuniting with leading rider Jake Toeroek who knows the gelding very well. Sure to be very competitive. TEXAN WINDSTORM (7) went better than his finish suggested last start. Meets Sweet Baby Boom 2.5kgs better this time and is every chance of making a return to the winner's circle. MAGNETIC EDGE (3) comes through the same race, rattling home to finish fifth. Carries more weight but usually races best with a run under the belt. Watch for him climbing over their backs late. SIXTEEN REASONS (10) also rates highly and carries strong form lines. Can't leave out.

RACE 7 - A TOUCH FROSTY (3) is ticking along nicely this time. Chased hard to get into the frame last start at Mt Gambier in a similar grade. Rock-hard fit now and only needs to hold his form to be featuring. ALIBEY (1) progressed sharply second-up at Warrnambool when ridden more positively, closing best to get the verdict. Open to further improvement third-up and is drawn kinder. Big threat. FIZIQUE (7) stretched out nicely in the lane to score with a bit up his sleeve last start at Balaklava. Gets weight relief with a slight rise in grade. Rates highly and is among the key chances. WHISKY SOUR (9) showed good tactical speed here last start and kept finding in the lane to go home best and shed his maiden tag. Plenty to like about that win and he's well placed to go on with it. SANTELMO FUEGO (8) next best.

RACE 8 - FAVOURITE CHILD (6) has turned her form around nicely the deeper into the prep she goes. Has enough early dash to offset the wide alley and is a big chance to bring up the hat-trick. MARACOURT (7) has turned into quite the bridesmaid this campaign, beaten narrowly again last start. Carries good form and rates highly but needs to find the winning punch. NICAJON (10) has been out of the winner's circle for quite some time but has been putting some solid performance together. Was only denied by a hear a fortnight ago at HQ by Willybeafactor. Pannell sticking is a positive. Needs to be taken seriously. ANNIHILATE (2) is another that is knocking on the door but has saluted a lot more recently. Best figures measure up and he's worth including. WILLYBEAFACTOR (4) is as honest as the day is long. You can bet he will be giving his all. Each-way player again.

RACE 9 - EVERGLADE (6) made light work of his rivals fresh at Murray Bridge when dashing to score. Strips fitter and has Holder sticking from a good draw. Expect her to relish the extra 300m and prove hard to hold out. MORE SUGAR (11) chased gamely into the frame a fortnight ago when sent out long odds. Better now third-up and is drawn a lot kinder under the light weight. Can give this a big shake. PRICILLA'S CHOICE (14) battled on gamely into the frame first-up behind a subsequent winner. Form reads well and she's fitter. Right in this. SPORTSBEAT (5) was a smart winner two back at HQ but failed to follow it up at the latest. Willing to forgive with winning hoop in Pannell reuniting. SOLAR BLAST (1) returns and has found the frame in every first-up attempt. The booking of Toeroek for the sharp R & C Jolly camp warrants serious consideration.
