READ 'EM AND WEEP (7) holding her form well and looks close to a maiden victory. Finished a close-up fifth over 1200m at Tamworth on June 28. Can race closer and take holding out. BONNIE DUBAI (11) fair effort on debut two-back when a plugging second, before drifting back when sixth in a stronger contest over 1000m at Tamworth on June 28. Finally draws a decent gate and improvement anticipated.
RACE 2 - Tricky race with the bulk of these on debut. BULLFIGHTER (3) speedy Capitalist colt on debut for the Waterhouse/Bott yard. Two recent trials have been sound and will prove hard to catch from the good gate. PRIDE TO FOLLOW (6) got off the mark on debut in good style when rounding them up effortlessly to score over 900m at Scone two-and-a-half weeks ago. Has further upside and should be able to stalk the good speed. Go close. PARTY PROPHET (8) resumed for second prep with a most improved third over 900m at Newcastle on June 29. Extra trip suits and will find this more to her liking. Race experience should take her a long way. EXECUTIVE DECISION (1) surprised at big odds at third race start when sitting on the speed for a gritty victory over 900m at Newcastle on June 15. Conditions suit and stays in the mix.
RACE 3 - RANHITA (9) finds her race today fourth-up in what looks a fairly weak maiden. Up in trip when sat on the speed before tiring to run fourth over 1350m at Wyong on June 27. Back to her right trip here from the inside gate and will prove hard to catch. LADY ICHIKAWA (6) returns from a lengthy spell after showing ability in stronger company last time in. Not asked to do much when seventh in a recent trial at Wyong and gets the blinkers on for the first time. Forward showing anticipated. SIZZLING TALE (10) has race fitness on her side third-up after showing good early dash to lead before tiring to run fourth over 1100m at Hawkesbury on June 25. Can sneak into the minor money. VERCELLI (12) well-bred Maurice filly resuming after running on late at debut when fourth over 1000m at Tamworth last December. Not pushed around in a recent trial and sure to be surging late.
RACE 4 - BANGETTA (1) at her peak for this and created a big impression when a slick winner over this track and trip on June 17. Gibbons rides again and should get the right tempo. Will prove hard to hold out. SCALEXTRICS (4) progressive gelding chasing his third-straight victory. Taken to the front and gave them a galloping lesson in the heavy (9) conditions when scoring over 1400m at Nowra on June 13. Since fitted with a recent trial placing over 1200m at Beaumont Newcastle. Drawn to stalk the speed and can win again. MASTER OF REWARDS (8) drifted back from the wide draw in the poor conditions when a plodding 12th over 1500m at Rosehill in Highway grade at latest. Has a good record here and can return to form. LAGO'S DAUGHTER (6) drifted back from the awkward gate and never threatened when 15th lover 1500m at Rosehill in Highway grade on June 29. On the quick back-up and due for a change of luck.
RACE 5 - BERTIE (5) back in grade today and kept fresh for this. Taken to the front from the inside gate when a tiring fourth over 1600m at Wyong on June 6. Drops in trip and can sit just off them today and pounce late. TARRANT COUNTY (4) encouraging performance on debut when holding on well to finish a close-up fifth over 1300m at Scone on June 23. Further improved now and the extra trip should see him figure prominently. RATHORAN (6) fifth-up for this and indicated a win was imminent when running on late to secure third over 1400m at Tamworth on June 28. Has the right figures to take his out. JED (10) jumped 300m in trip when a wilting sixth over 1600m at Dubbo on June 19. Drops in distance and has each-way prospects.
RACE 6 - WILLINGALE (2) is in a leading Newcastle yard and looks ready to win with the 3kg claim. Loomed late second-up when a narrow second over 900m at Scone on June 23. Finally drawn a good marble and will race closer and take stopping. IN MY DREAMS (7) deep into the prep and returned good final splits when a slashing third over 1000m at Wyong on June 27. This is much easier and won in good style over this track and trip three back. PROVENCAL (12) lone victory came at this track four-back and reunites with winning 3kg claim apprentice. Winkers come off today and can stalk the fast tempo. DIZE (3) lightly raced Shalaa filly with a ton of ability. Returned for second prep when a fading fifth over 1000m at Wyong on June 6. Strips fitter now and must go into the exotics.
RACE 7 - CONSENZA (4) fitter after two runs back and drops in grade in this easier contest. Snagged back from the wide gate before charging late for a gritty fourth over 1200m at Tamworth on June 28. Will race much closer today from the good gate and should prove too good for these. MISS CARTEL (7) up in grade here and chasing her third-straight victory. Gave them a galloping lesson again when led throughout for a tough win over 1262m at Taree on June 25. Has the upside to go close again. SHEN GUI (8) won well two back before jumping in grade here when a tiring 13th over 1450m on June 17. Kept fresh and can improve back to the 1280m. FOURTH SPARGO (10) lightly raced mare with her hoof on the till. Will find this easier after sitting up on the speed when second over 1100m at Wyong on June 13. Up in trip and should be in this for a long while.
RACE 8 - GOLDEN COW (15) gets the benefit of the 4kg claim today after jumping in grade when a disappointing tenth over 1000m at Scone in BM66 grade on June 23. Go on her run two back when leading throughout in good style at Dubbo. Will prove hard to run down. FLOSS'S ONE (17) strengthened up over the break after winning on resumption before having no luck from the sticky gate when tenth over 1007m at Taree on the heavy (10) track. Poorly drawn again and can add value to the exotics on a firmer track third-up. QUICK ONYX (8) only the one win from 13 starts and returns from a nine-month spell for new yard. Comes to hand fairly quickly and was a sharp 900m trial winner at Wellington in readiness for this. All the gear comes off and must be kept safe. SIMPLY BETTER (7) resumed over the shorter trip when an eye-catching third over 800m at Narromine on June 24. All four wins have come at this trip and stays in the mix.
