RACE 1 - MOULIN MISS (6) won a Doomben trial by a space before delivering a promising placing at the Gold Coast on debut. She resumes today owning a Deagon trial win and is sure to have come on. In the premier metro barn and should be breaking through. INAZUMA BOY (2) debuts and has warmed up with an easy trial win. He draws the outside gate but looks to have plenty of ability. HERBIE TOWN (1) was okay on debut when well supported. Resumes with a trial under the belt and is likely to go well. They look the clear chances.

RACE 2 - APPELLANT (4) brought strong metro form to resumption and found a place in a Doomben Open 2. She was slow to begin in Stake grade following at big odds. This is the easiest assignment she's faced and the blinkers are on again. Fitter and should have them covered. SUJEED (1) showed plenty at Doomben on debut and delivered an easy Maiden win at the Gold Coast first-up. Maps well and fitter should be right in the finish. The betting will be key with UMABETT (9) who has been switched from Sydney by the Neasham barn. She was only beaten 2.7L in the Group 3 Gimcrack Stakes on debut and needed the first up run. She draws low and has been kept on the fresh side. MISHANI STORM (3) impressed early doors and showed more like her best when narrowly beaten at Dalby over this distance. She will enjoy a soft run and keeps a handy 3kg claim. Keep safe.

RACE 3 - JUNGLE LAW (8) resumed at Doomben narrowly beaten and has more up the sleeve. Just missed at Eagle Farm her only second-up outing and the promising filly is the one to beat. STEEL KING (3) will be better for the two solid efforts at Doomben. The former Victorian is still shy of his best and fitter is a danger. SHY REBEL (10) resumes for the Vandyke yard with Rodd booked. Her trials have been sharp and it wouldn't surprise to see her feature. EXPLICABLE (2) has switched from a Victorian yard on a 38-day return. May find this a touch short but he's good enough and the betting will be key. VICTORY MELODY (5) showed enough on debut to consider.

RACE 4 - CAMPAI (6) is a leader who was narrowly beaten here and at the Sunshine Coast at this level before delivering a 65 on the Gold Coast poly. She looks well-placed and has been kept fresh for the shorter sprint. Will ride the speed from an inside gate and the in-form Thornton sticks. UNDERHAND (5) resumes for a sharp metro barn and is proven fresh and at the track/trip. Draws outside but has the gate speed to skip across. A player. DEEP BLAST (2) resumes and goes on the fresh side. Gets plenty of weight but he's trialled well and will be around the mark. AL PAL'S GAL (3) lead and spiked her figures winning at Toowoomba this level over 1000m. Might try those tactics again and she keeps the 2kg claim. In the mix as well.

RACE 5 - ANOTHER PEDRILLE (2) is a leader who is third-up off big back-to-back wins. Has a 1.5L claim today and the promising mare can go on with the job. CRYMENOTEARS (3) resumed here in better class and turned her form around. Rodd goes aboard today and fitter and she may go on with it now. POWER FLASH (9) ran a strong figure at Doomben and then disappointed at Gatton at 1400m. The premier barn is persevering and she has the first-time blinkers applied. Draws awkwardly again but she's worth a look at a price. SPARKLE MOTION (5) resumes and has switched barns. He's good enough but usually needs a couple of runs. He's trialled and Stanley is a positive jockey booking. No surprise to see him more forward this time around. TEMPLEMORE (1) maps well and has been trialled positively since last seen. Fitter and a hope.

RACE 6 - GO WANDJI (1) threatened twice in Stakes grade before disappointing at Eagle Farm from an outside gate. Jumps from an inside gate today. Wins at best and is worth another chance. COOL ENCOUNTER (3) rates well on the narrow defeat at the Sunshine Coast. He has weight relief at this level and maps well. He has decent claims. THE CATCH (2) resumed for the new yard in good order and is proven second-up. He has more to give and can fight out the finish. SLEIGH QUEEN (5) resumes for the Neasham barn and they have scratched the fancied stablemate. Has the rail and has won first up. Keep safe.

RACE 7 - DARK THINKER (11) peaks off a tidy effort at Gatton over a mile. She is in a top metro barn and will appreciate the step up in distance. She needs a good ride but the 27% stable striker JGC sticks aboard and will give her every chance. FLAMINGO BEACH (12) went okay at Doomben and then delivered a big Maiden win in the Gold Coast poly rising to 2000m. She is likely to push forward and fitter would be a hope if that works out. DON QUIXOTE (7) didn't enjoy the poly track but showed more at the Sunshine Coast prior. Finally draws a handy gate and the step up in trip suits. ENUNCIATION (3) has been off his peaks but will present at peak fitness. He may sit closer today and can't be ruled out.

RACE 8 - Tricky. IRISH GYPSY (13) won at Gatton on debut and improved again narrowly beaten at Ballina where she led. That stacks up and she's got more upside than most of these. Cartwright is reunited and fitter she can bounce back. AROUND THE BUOY (4) is back in class and forget the latest at Doomben where he pulled up with an issue. Brought solid efforts to that over longer and has been kept up to the mark with a trial. Suited and is likely to race well. HE GOLDEN SOUL (11) was plain at Warwick but the form around that reads okay. He will get every chance from an inside barrier. MATSUYAMA (18) is better than the two duck eggs suggest. He also finds lesser grade and is on a quick back-up. Daws for a soft run and goes in at a price.
