RACE 1 - PRAY AGAIN (4) just missed over 1300m here in a good race last start when off a freshen. He's ready for the mile now and he draws to get a lovely run in transit. This is much easier than the race he contested last time and he can end his winning drought today. CRUISE TO VICTORY (8) was far too good at midweek level last time out, running away to win comfortably over 1410m at Bunbury. William Pike takes the ride now and while this is harder, his latest effort suggests he's right up to this grade. GINGER GREEN (1) looks poised to strike now third-up into the campaign and out to the mile. He was narrowly beaten in a much stronger race last time out and while he does rise in weight, his recent figures rate highly in this field. EMERALD TRADER (3) has been close his past few and is expected to be right in the finish again from a favourable alley. ARNIE'S BOY (5) pushed a smart one to the line last time out and warrants plenty of respect.

RACE 2 - NOAHQUINTILLY (1) was very tough when winning over 1200m a fortnight ago, showing experience beyond her years to get the job done. That's the sign of a good horse and the rise in trip doesn't appear an issue. Can find a good spot in running and repeat the dose. THE TOP BAR (3) resumed with a solid effort at Pinjarra (S) when leading the field. He's fitter for that run and while this is tougher, the fact Chris Parnham sticks with him is a positive sign. Can be prominent again and is expected to take plenty of catching. SHOOT TO FAME (10) kept coming over the closing stages last time out and his racing pattern suggests the extra furlong is no issue. Can be about the finish once more. LYN'S STAR (8) was game against older horses last time out and it took a smart one to beat her. She's expected to go close. CASH FLOW (4) is better than he showed last time out and can improve with the rise in trip.

RACE 3 - KING CARTEL (3) wasn't far away last time out behind a smart galloper, beaten just 0.8L over 1300m here. Should be at peak fitness now and he has the speed to get across from the wide draw. His maiden win came in soggy going and if he runs up to his latest effort, he can get back to winning ways. RISSOLES (10) rattled home from the rear in fine style to get the job done by 1.2L. She looks to have plenty of upside and while the slight drop in trip may be a niggle, there does look to be good pace engaged. Can be handier from the better gate today and announce herself. HOSTILE TALK (4) ran over the top to win as favourite in a CL3 at Bunbury last time out and now gets Pike back in the saddle. He's a horse on the way up and he's sure to be right in the finish. SONOFTHEBOSS (1) has been freshened since going under as favourite but that run is nothing to sneeze at. He'll make his presence felt. JUSTABITTAPRESS (2) has talent and won't be far away in a good race.

RACE 4 - YONGA LASS (2) kept coming to the line over 1200m last time out, doing her best work late as favourite here but missing out by 1.4L. The extra furlong is ideal as she's won 4/5 at this trip and she'll be much closer from the good alley this time. This looks a beautiful set up and she can win again. SAPPHIRE STREET (7) closed off well over this course and distance last time out and gets Steve Parnham replacing the apprentice hoop today. He draws slightly better today and he drops in weight despite running a big figure last time out. Can get the job done if he runs up to recent performances. TRIPLE JAY (6) kicked away to win strongly, beating Yonga Lass on that occasion. This looks to set up similarly, if not better for him from the good draw. Can stack them up and kick away once again. TOO DARDY (9) was slow out and never really a hope from that point on. Run two back was good though and he's not to be discounted. ALLEZ ALLEZ (5) is racing well and has to be included on recent form.

RACE 5 - OBJECTIFY (8) disappointed as favourite last time out, only getting out late in the race to be beaten 3L at the finish. Parnham was questioned regarding his riding on there and while the draw is a niggle, I suspect he won't make the same mistake this time. Can bounce back to winning form this time. DOCTOR JAY (6) is a classy galloper who just missed at this course and distance 21 days ago in this company. He may need some luck on straightening, but Steve Parnham knows him well and he's a gelding on the way up. Can get back to winning ways without surprising. BERBERE (3) was a late scratching here a couple weeks ago and has won a trial since that effort. The winkers come off and he rises up to 1400m for the first time. Pike remains in the saddle and he's sure to put his best foot forward. ABLOH (4) was just 1.8L off the winner last start in this grade, finishing close to Doctor Jay. Has to be included. ADVANCED (2) is building nicely this time in and is not to be discounted.

RACE 6 - SAVAGE ONE (6) hasn't won for a very long time but almost ended the drought last start when beaten 0.3L here. Now back up to the mile where he boasts a good record and he should be prominent from the outset. A wet track won't worry him and a repeat of his latest effort would see him get the job done in this. WANGO AWARD (13) won narrowly over a progressive type in midweek company 24 days ago and rises to the mile for just the second time. Pike hops back in the saddle today and while she does get back in the run, there appears to be good pace engaged. Can storm over the top of them late. SENTIMENTAL HERO (1) ran over the top to win impressively here 21 days ago and will carry the same weight after the claim of Gaerth. Maps for a similar run this time around and he's expected to be in the finish once again. PLAYHOUSE PATRON (2) got the win last time out and can go on with the job. THE SPRUIKER (12) improves sharply second-up and has to be included.

RACE 7 - Open event. KINGS HONOUR (3) will find this easier than last start when beaten 3.7L by a smart galloper here. On the quick turnaround and Noske replaces the apprentice hoop. He has a good record when steering and a return to his best form would see him get the job done. INVINCIBLE RUBY (8) just missed when coming on strongly from the rear last time out, beaten just 0.4L. She maps for a nice run off what looks like a strong tempo and while she was 18-1 last start, a similar effort will see her go close to winning. BONNIE LAD (6) resumed a winner in a CL5 at Northam and he boasts a strong second-up record, winning 2/3. This is tougher than his latest run, but he gets Pike in the saddle and his form has been franked from last start. Can make his presence felt. CAPRE OMNIA (1) is racing in great form of late, having won two of his last 3. Drawn ideally once again and it wouldn't surprise to see him come out on top. BAALBEK (5) has been running well at Kalgoorlie and won't be far away.

RACE 8 - NERODIO (1) loves this course and distance having won 6/7 here and he's trialled impressively in readiness for his fresh effort. He's a two-time winner first-up and while he will have to carry the big weight, he was very competitive in stronger events last campaign. Can return on a winning note. MINSK MOMENT (3) disappointed in Melbourne last campaign but his recent trials suggest he's back as good as ever. He underwent throat surgery after his last campaign and the booking of Pike suggests he's ready to rumble first-up. Best form is more than good enough to win a race like this. MAN CRUSH (4) resumes without a trial today after pulling up lame following his most recent run back in January. The booking of Chris Parnham suggests he is ready to fire fresh though and he should get every chance from the draw. Can make his presence felt. MULTINATIONAL (8) has been running well in easier company and rates highly with a drop in weight. BAYEZID (5) can lead for a long way in the feature.

RACE 9 - Tricky race to end the day. BOOTS LIKE BRUCE (1) led them up on resumption when just caught late in the race, beaten 0.2L. He pulled up lame following that effort after hanging out badly in the run to the line. The tongue tie goes back on and the winkers are applied first time. Can go one better today. NOTEWORTHY (13) was slowly away and never really looked likely last start, but did catch the eye when storming home late. Back 100m is no issue and she has settled much closer in recent performances. She's better than she showed last start and she can bounce back in a big way. DUCHESS OF GOSSIP (2) bumped into a good race two back before a 1.8L last start after being slowly away. The wide draw is a little niggle, but her best form is good enough to get the job done in a race like this. ANGEL UNDERCOVER (15) is a filly on the way up and suspect we haven't seen the best of her just yet. Include. BIRD'S THE WORD (6) can go on with the job after a good win last start.
