RACE 1 - REEL WHISKEY (8) was narrowly beaten at Gawler first-up on a heavy track. Was heavily bet again and brought strong form to that. Has the early speed to clear the wide gate and the top hoop is reunited. Ran his best figure over this distance on a good surface and he sets the standard. COMMISSIONS (4) debuts and owns a Stawell trial win. Maps for the run of the race and looks to have good ability. A bold effort is likely. IDRACOWRA (13) has to manage a wide barrier but there was a lot to like about her placing at the Parks. Keeps the 2kg claim and can keep improving. CARIBBEAN BREEZE (11) showed plenty on debut and will be better for the two runs this time in. This is easier than Morphettville and she also deserves consideration.

RACE 2 - DUCHESS OF SUSSEX (9) resumes and two back she was beaten less than 3L in the Cinderella Stakes. She is proven fresh and draws to advantage. She's trialled and will be naturally improved. The blinkers are first-time applied signaling intent. MESROUR (3) led when narrowly beaten here before the spell and came back and was beaten a nose first-up. He has more to give and will ride the speed from an inside gate. SIR NOW (2) won that contest on debut. He started at monster odds but sped along and wasn't headed. Gets the top hoop today and will strip fitter. CAP TEN (1) resumed with a Maiden win on the Ballarat synthetic. Draws wide but Pannell rides. He's in a top Victorian barn and is sure to keep improving.

RACE 3 - A good contest. RED PATROL (4) was an easy 72 winner at Mt Gambier and then spiked his figures narrowly beaten here this grade over 2000m. Ran it out strongly indicating the staying journey should suit. Maps for a soft run and can bounce. LAKE'S FOLLY (2) also brings a win and near miss both recorded at The Parks. Keeps the handy 2kg claim and the extra 250m shouldn't bother. A player. FERAGO (1) has been racing in much stronger staying contests in Melbourne. Lugs top weight but he's earned it and is certainly good enough. DIXIE WHISTLER (3) was disappointing last time on a heavy track and better to measure her ability on the near miss at Morphettville prior when she led over 2500m. Has the handy 2kg claim and will take pegging back.

RACE 4 - ORLABENT (1) switched from a Queensland barn and belted the 70 graders by 3.3L on the Ballarat synthetic first up. He brought strong form and switching back to the turf won't be an issue. Maps for the run of the race and Toeroek is booked and is a decent push for his chances. CLOCK STRIKES (3) won back-to-back on the Pakenham synthetic as expected and that's solid form. He's fast and can clear the awkward barrier. He is sure to give a sight. TOGETHERFOREVER (8) resumes and performs fresh. She wasn't beaten far at Caulfield three-back as favourite. Sits down in the weights and is in the mix. PRETTY TAVI (5) has disappointed her last two but the form prior stacks up. Has a wide gate but Pannell rides for a top Victorian stable. Keep safe.

RACE 5 - The Victorian TORRANZINO (2) peaks and he found more like his best beaten 2.5L at Caulfield stepping up to this trip. Peaks today and finds much easier. He is well-placed to be winning. CHOSEN MISS (7) was quickly back on track winning the 64 at The Parks. Maps for a decent run and keeps the 2kg claim. She rates a quinella chance. Ditto FOX GEM (8) who is busting to win and just missed in town last time. He gives away starts and always needs a good ride. ICHIBANSAN (6) was plain behind Chosen Miss but his form prior reads well. Draws to advantage and will get every chance.

RACE 6 - FAVOURITE CHILD (4) delivered the hat-trick with a spacious win at Gawler over 1500m. She carries less weight with the 2kg claim and maps for the run of the race. Keeps getting better and can go on with the job. SOARING EAGLE (2) is a Victorian who managed a win at Morphettville second-up over this distance. She is still shy of her best and will position forward from the rails gate. BONNIE GANGSTER (11) lifted her figures beaten a nose in a 78 at Gawler. That's solid form and she sits on the minimum and draws well. OUTTA COMPTON (6) placed in the same race building on a decent effort at Sandown. He's in the mix as well.

RACE 7 - BRAVE STAR (1) won a 64 at The Parks and didn't have the best of it there following in a 66 as a short-priced favourite. Draws to advantage and keeps the handy 2kg claim. Peaks today and can bounce back. PRICILLA'S CHOICE (11) led and improved again narrowly beaten at Gawler over 1200m. She led in that and can keep improving. She has won over this distance and Holder is a key jockey switch for the 3kg apprentice. SACHEM (9) has been well supported at his last two starts but has disappointed. He's been giving away big starts and that's been costing. Finally draws an inside gate and a much better effort is likely. KUSHAN KHANIVALE (7) has been threatening since the Gawler win and gets a senior hoop today. He can't be ruled out.

RACE 8 - BAMYAN BUDDHA (1) presents third-up off solid placings He will race handy and the longer sprint suits. Goes well here and fitter should go close. THE SEVEN SEAS (5) switched from a Sydney barn and will be better for the first-up outing in stronger grade. She has trialled sharply since and has plenty up her sleeve. She's proven second-up and is a player. MARACOURT (3) has missed a whisker at his last three starts with the latest in town in stronger. Drops back to a sprint but maps for the run of the race and Pannell goes aboard as do the blinkers again. He's ready to win and will get every chance. DUNALLEY (2) resumes and the Victorian has won fresh. She's capable and the top hoop is booked. Expect her to be presented forward and go well.

RACE 9 - HAJRA (11) was heavily bet again narrowly beaten here in a 64. It was a strong effort and the lightly-raced filly can keep improving. Draws awkwardly but keeps Pannell and briefly freshened can bounce back. LINGANI (2) peaks off the win this grade at The Parks. Will drift back again from the rail gate but peaks and with average luck is a decent chance. RICHE D'AMOUR (6) won a trial here and then delivered a big metro Maiden win on debut. He has the early speed to manage the awkward gate and fitter back-to-back wins can't be ruled out. A SAMURAI MIND (1) resumes and has raced well at Stakes level. At his best over longer distances but missed a nose here on debut over 1200m and no surprise to see him wound up for this and go well.

RACE 10 - BALLON D'OR (5) resumes and is right up to this if presented forward. She's warmed up with a trial here and is proven fresh. Crowther rides from a handy gate and the late betting will be key. Ditto with stablemate JEAN VALJEAN (10) who resumes and Pannell is off the above to ride. He has been off the scene for 301 days but flies fresh and is good enough. THE HASS (9) won a Metropolitan 64 first-up and hasn't missed a beat. He will race forward and is proven second-up. He also rates a winning chance. CLASSY KENNY (2) spiked his figures winning in stronger at The Parks. That stacks up and expect him to finish hard.
