RACE 1 - ALOTTA FIGHTING (4) settled last in the run and only missed in a photo finish despite jumping a 25-1 chance last week. On the quick turnaround and out to 1400m which looks to suit. He draws well again and if he can run up to what he did last start, he should be getting the job done. EDWARD'S CHOICE (1) just missed over 1634m at this track a week ago and drops back to this distance today. The 2kg claim of Cooper comes in handy and he's placed 2/4 at this course and distance. Can make his presence felt. MANGANUI (2) has had a few tries now but wasn't beaten far over a similar trip here most recently. Building into the campaign nicely, now fourth-up and ready to peak. Can be about the finish. ABSOLUTE PLUM (5) returned in good order when sustaining a long run to the line. Fitter now and should've come on from the fresh effort. YAKYAK (6) is best of the rest.

RACE 2 - SUNSHINE TAFE (10) got a long way back last time out at Belmont and never featured, finishing well back. She has to take on the older horses here, but this does appear an easier race than what she's been contesting. Drawn nicely and with further improvement expected, she can shed the maiden tag. GREY REVOLUTION (6) was just 1L off the winner when second-up here last week and shouldn't be phased by the slight drop in trip. The wide draw is a little niggle, though she has displayed good early speed in recent outings. Can get the job done if she runs up to her best. SOCKEYE (4) finished well out the back last time over 1200m here, though she did pull up with a slight issue. Her run two back was super and a return to that level can see her in the finish once again. NORTHERN SUNRISE (1) is better than he showed over the mile here last start. Can bounce back.

RACE 3 - PARORI (3) is still a mare on the way up despite her narrow defeat as favourite here 21 days ago. She has the speed to overcome the wide draw and he recent efforts rate clear of her rivals in this event. Should be getting back to winning ways in this suitable event. TOTAL LOCKDOWN (5) tired from in front last time out, beaten 2.4L at the line and the slight drop in trip looks ideal. He likes this track and trip, and while he hasn't won for a little while, his recent performance suggests he's not far away. CELESTIAL FOX (8) comes through the same race as Parori having finished 3.5L off the winner there. She'll carry little weight after the claim of Cooper and she's expected to put her best foot forward. BORN AND BREAD (7) wasn't far away last time out and gets the blinkers on again this time. Can put herself into the finish.

RACE 4 - DUO MUSO (5) rattled home from the back last time out to just miss over 1100m after being slowly away from the barriers. The slight rise in trip looks to suit and she can be handier this time from a better draw and with a cleaner break. Has further improvement to come third-up and she can get the job done. WANNA CRACKER (1) just missed out on the hat-trick last start when 0.6L off the winner in the same race as Duo Muso last week. He's still improving and Cooper's 3kg claim comes in handy. Can get back to winning ways without surprising. ELUSIVE DREAM (2) disappointed last time out when getting well back in the run, but he did hit the line nicely over this track and trip. The wide draw is a niggle, but he's sure to be in the finish if he can bounce back to his best. ZING TO WIN (7) is better than he's shown his past couple and will appreciate this easier company. Blinkers go on first time and he won't be far away. HOT NOVA (9) will need some but brings in some strong form lines.

RACE 5 - MUNGO JERRY (6) has been close in his three runs back this time in and running good figures in the process. He maps for a lovely run this time in what looks a suitable event out to 1200m. Racing well and can get the job done as long as he handles the quick turnaround. GLUTEN FREE (2) is better than he showed over 1400m here last start and drops back to a trip he's has success at previously. His recent form is hard to fault, albeit over a slightly longer trip. Sure to make his presence felt if he can run to his best figures. KICK A GOAL SON (1) wasn't far away over 1400m last time out and drops back in trip for today's assignment. Suspect he gets back under Cooper, with her 3kg claim getting him in nicely at the weights. He's sure to be doing his best work late in the race. HIGH PRESSURE (5) got the job done last start as favourite and can go on with that win. KAKADU (9) won in easier grade last start but that win rated well. Not to be discounted.

RACE 6 - MORIAH (6) steps out to the mile for the first time but it does appear to suit judging by her most recent start where she flashed late to be beaten 1L. Drawn inside once again today and drops in weight despite this being in the same grade as last start. Expecting further improvement now and that should see her winning. BRAZEN EMPRESS (2) is hard to knock on recent form, winning again last start over 1400m and beating the top pick. She too steps out to the mile for the first time, though she will had to work early from the wide draw if she is to find the front as she usually does. She appears the main danger. MILITARY ACTION (3) jumped favourite in that very same race despite finishing 1.4L behind Brazen Empress there. That formline looks the strongest and out to the mile can see him turn the tables. ELSUENO (5) is better than he showed last start and can bounce back coming out of a strong form race. WHISKY MAC (7) is in the mix on his best form.

RACE 7 - DANCE OF THUNDER (1) closed off well last start to be 1.2L off the winner over 1300m and should appreciate the slight rise in trip this time. He is expected to be back from the wide alley, but the booking of Fiore is of note and his recent form suggests he's right up to winning a race like this. NO WHISPERING (4) was well beaten at Belmont last start and now finds an easier race today. The wide draw is a niggle, but the claim helps and he does possess good early speed. Can get across and take catching if he gets it all his own way. CAPTAIN ROGERS (3) is hard to knock on recent form and has to be included. PASSION PRINCE (6) can improve second-up.
