Won a recent trial at Deagon. Expect a strong showing. CAXTON LASS (4) has been solid in both starts since a spell and is building in fitness. Gave away a considerable start over 1000m at Eagle Farm last time before hitting the line well to finish fourth so the longer trip suits. TESSATORI (13) is working up to a win and has won a trial since the last-start second.
RACE 2 - MYSTIC MAC (9) was prominent from the outset when second over 1350m at this track last time out, his third runner-up result in four starts so far this campaign. Race fit now and blinkers come off. Gets his chance. TURN THE CORNER (12) is a regally bred three-year-old gelding making his first appearance at the races. By Rubick from Seventhchic who has produced G1 winner Royal Merchant. Placed in his most recent trial at Doomben. Can run boldly. BEANS MEANS (1) has been runner up in both starts this time in. Raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 1200m at Beaudesert. Expected to be in the finish. LOYALTY COUNTS (8) draws the inside and can progress off the fresh placing.
RACE 3 - GLOWLIGHT (3) came from well back on the corner to win her maiden last time out at this track and trip. Race fit now and Maloney goes aboard. Could be ready to go through her grades now. AERIAL BAY (5) is having her first run for the Tony Gollan yard. Won at Wangaratta at her maiden campaign. Fitter for placing in a Deagon trial. Bold showing expected. MAGIC ISLAND (2) resumes after a break of four-and-a-half months and is aiming to repeat her debut win over this trip at Eagle Farm to kick off last prep. YELLOWHAMMER (4) won her lone second-up attempt so can progress off the fresh effort.
RACE 4 - LIMERO (3) has returned an improved gelding having accounted for a maiden field when resuming over 1000m at Eagle Farm last start. Re-unites with Nikita Beriman who was on board last time. Fitter and has upside so is capable of making it two on the trot. LA FAST TYCOON (4) was in a different class on debut, sitting just off the speed before letting down impressively for a 2.8 length win over this distance at Warwick. This is stronger but he is open to natural improvement so could take the next step. RICH AGAIN (5) made it back-to-back placings when he found the line strongly to grab third at Dalby last time. Close to peak fitness and enjoys a much lower draw. BEAUTANTES (1) races well second up and his lone win came at this track and trip so improvement is likely.
RACE 5 - VICTORY COMMAND (8) is close to a win having registered minor placings at his last two starts. Kept chasing at the most recent appearance when 0.8L off the winner over 1400m at Eagle Farm. Race fit now and the longer trip suits so gets his chance. PRINCESS KAGUYA (12) has been close to the placings in all three runs since a spell, last time beaten only 0.8 lengths when fourth in a 1600m contest at Eagle Farm. Drawn for a soft run. Strong prospects. EXPOSITION (3) didn't quite perform to market expectations last time but improvement would not surprise. EXPRESS PAYMENT (4) did a better job for third last time over 1400m at Eagle Farm, beaten 2 lengths. Include.
RACE 6 - DENIED (6) completed a winning hat trick when scoring over this distance here two back before drawing deep when runner up last time. In fine form and strikes at 50 per cent at this journey. Can return to the winners' list. SPACE TRACKER (2) registered a strong win here two runs ago then kept chasing last time out when third over 1200m, beaten 1.6 lengths. That effort suggested the longer trip will suit so can make amends. LUBRICATION (3) proved too strong last start and scored by a head over this distance, his second win from his last three outings at this track. Maloney goes on. Strong claims. SHA OF GOMER (7) is fitter for recent racing so may be ready to show his best. APRIL IN AUGUSTA (8) produced a better run last start when beaten 2.6 lengths at this course and should be close to peak fitness.
RACE 7 - NOTACLUEHOWORWHO (10) made an encouraging return when he raced on the speed and fought well to just miss out by a nose over 1300m at Eagle Farm. Races well second-up with a win and a placing from two attempts so is a likely improver with strong prospects. GENETIC FREAK (2) made a winning start for the new yard when he resumed over 1200m at Gold Coast Poly and scored by a head. Draws for a soft run and could bring that form across to the turf. COOL ENCOUNTER (1) looks close to a win after finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a third most recently at Ipswich. Respect. Looking for improvement from DIANA'S AFFAIR (6) second up.
RACE 8 - BRASCO (3) ran on for a strong win at this track two runs ago and closes strongly again last time when beaten 2.7 lengths. Gets an extra 300m today and is looking for it. Strikes at 50 per cent here so could be hard to hold. NEW LEVEL (2) continues to race well with a win two back at this track and trip before finishing 0.8 lengths away in second last time over 1600m at Eagle Farm. Draws deeper but Maloney sticks and the return to Doomben should suit. HALLSIDE MARTINI (11) has placed in both runs since a spell and should be close to peak fitness. SINGER SARGENT (6) put the writing on the wall when placed last start and should be peaking now.
