RACE 1 - Looks an open affair to start the card. BATTLEFIELD (5) has grown a leg since moving north with a handy runner-up finish at Doomben at the first local run before a dominant victory here over 1300m at the latest effort. Winning hoop Dolan sticks in the saddle and should be near his peak now third-up from the spell. Rates the hardest to toss. PURE PARADISE (3) is a very consistent conveyance who has hit the top-five in 12 of 13 career outings and doesn't know how to put in a poor one. Placed over this track and trip last time out and looms as the main danger. SPIRIT QUEEN (2) is yet to miss a drum in three starts around this circuit and gets Maloney on to navigate from the sticky draw. Top-three hope. DAYTONA (1) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and should give backers a sight. BILLIONAIR BABY (8) best of the rest.

RACE 2 - COUP DE TONNERRE (6) got the job done over this course and distance last time out and looks to have turned the corner now. Collis stays on board and again gets the benefit of his 3kg claim. Should be right there at the business end. TOP BOY (8) has been racing consistently of late and should get a cosy run in transit from the inside alley. Taking on a better field but is good enough to score again. LIKEABEEL (9) placed over this track and trip at the latest effort and will be rock-hard fit for this. In the mix. LATELY (5) has been thereabouts at the past couple and may earn some minor money. TAPILDOODLEDO (1) has saluted at Group 2 level in a past life and can feature if he brings his A-game.

RACE 3 - CINQUE TORRI (6) has hit a purple patch of form of late with a dominant seven length romp at the Gold Coast two back before getting the job done over this trip at Doomben last time out. Drawn to get across easily from gate two and is racing with a lot of confidence. No reason why he cannot salute again. WITHOUT REVENGE (4) returned to form with a strong win here at the latest effort and the extra furlong looks to suit. Rates a serious threat. ESSONNE (2) has been plying her trade at Listed level and should find this assignment easier. Has to be included. STEELY (1) is one from one around this circuit and draws the inside marble. Can improve enough to play a role in the outcome. HE'S HEAVEN (8) is a bit of a hit-or-miss type but may fill the frame with any luck in running.

RACE 4 - ASTAPOR (1) has hit the top-five in all five starts to date and will strip fitter third-up from the spell. Shapes as one of the key chances. SURPRISE HONEY (11) improved sharply to finish runner-up last time and is drawn to get a soft run from the inside alley. Top-three credentials. STAR AMBITION (5) broke through when facing the starter for the first time and will have taken a bunch of confidence from that victory. Can go back-to-back to commence the career. TAKE A BOW (12) couldn't have been more impressive winning at Gatton on debut. Will find this harder but looks one for the exotics players with the 3kg claim.

RACE 5 - SHOOTING FOR GOLD (2) wasn't disgraced at Group 3 level last time out and drops down a peg here. Is a three-time winner around this circuit and gets plenty of weight relief with the 3kg claim. Will prove tough to hold out. TECTONIC PLATE (11) has strung back-to-back wins together over this trip and is racing with a lot of confidence. Hard to ignore mares in winning form. EN POINTE (8) resumes here but the form she showed when last in work was good enough to feature in a race like this. Can run a race while fresh. MANHOOD (7) has won two from four over this course and distance and gets Dolan on from the low draw. In the mix. LEGAL ESPRIT (1) has only missed a drum once in nine starts around this circuit and has definite claims.

RACE 6 - The well-related EMPEROR (8) (half to G1 winner Joliestar) is first-up here but loves it around this circuit with a win and a second from two starts and has revved up for this with two recent trial hit-outs. Drawn to get a gun run from the low draw and can return in winning fashion. MILLANE (4) is an honest campaigner who has hit the top-five in seven of his past eight starts. Saves his best form for this track and trip and goes well for Orman. Nicely placed. STANDING ORDER (9) has won over this course and distance and must be respected from the Gollan barn. In the mix. HOLD ON HONEY (1) strips fitter third-up from the spell and gets 3kg off with the claim. One to consider. SWEET MARGOT MAY (6) wasn't too far away in G3 company last time out and will find this assignment much more to her liking. Worth another chance.

RACE 7 - Australian Bloodstock import ZAPHOD (1) was an impressive Scone winner at his local debut when well found in the betting and is sure to have come on with that run now under the belt. Placed at Group 3 level in the northern hemisphere and should be in this contest for a long way. Another import POUTCHEK (10) broke the maiden status here last time out and will have derived a bunch of confidence from that victory. Can go right on with the job now. SHARP DAZZLER (2) has won three from four here, draws low and gets 3kg off with the claim. Ticks a few boxes. VICTORY COMMAND (11) is knocking on the door of a maiden victory with three consecutive runner-up finishes. Sure to run well again. FARWEST (13) has placed four of his past five and is one for the multiples.

RACE 8 - This could turn out to be a decent form race. GOLDEN DECADE (1) has been a model of consistency of late including placing in the Cooney last time out behind a couple of smart ones. Gets 3kg off with the claim and will be rock-hard fit for this. Rates a major player in this contest. CASPERNOVA (13) got the maiden out of the way last time out after three runner-up finishes to start the career. Sure to be high on confidence now and is worth following up. CAPE CRUSADER (11) has been racing well at Toowoomba and gets in light at the weights with the claim. Top-three candidate. BRIGHT BLONDE (12) disappointed last time but go on the solid Doomben win when resuming. Can bounce back. BEEBEE DAZZLER (10) has only missed the top-two once in seven career starts and is a must for the exotics players.

RACE 9 - SUNSET SOIREE (5) wasn't disgraced in Listed company at the latest effort and will appreciate the drop back to BM78 grade here. Is a four-time winner around this circuit and gets the deadly Gollan/Maloney combination again. Perfectly placed to return to the winners' stall. REDWOOD SHADOW (10) doesn't win out of turn but is usually thereabouts and goes well over this mile journey. Sure to feature in the outcome. BLAZEN BOOTS (9) saves his best form for this distance range and looks a genuine top-three contender on best form. THESECONDATPORTSEA (15) resumes here but has a solid first-up record and must be respected from the Bruce barn. In the mix while fresh. TYNDRUM GOLD (8) rounds out the selections.
