NAVY BLOOD (1) progressive gelding who will appreciate the firmer surface today. Came from well back again when an unlucky third over 1200m at Randwick on July 6. Looks well placed in this tougher contest on the limit weight and expected to go close again. KING OF THE CASTLE (6) raced without luck all prep and chopped out at a vital stage last start before getting off the fence when hitting the line strongly to finish a narrow third over 1400m in the LR Winter Stakes at Randwick on July 6. Drawn to get the right run again and will prove one of the hardest to stop. Senior rider on for this and looks good each way value. WILLAIDOW (7) exciting prospect who went quickly through his grades last time in and has a sound fresh record. Fitted with two solid trials and will take plenty of stopping with J Mac booked from the inside gate. ABLE WILLIE (2) racing in career best form and unlucky not to win again when closed off strongly from well back when a nose second over 1200m at this track on June 29. Look for him late if the runs come. IRON MAN (17) promising sprinter who returned from a nine-month break as fav when a tenacious neck winner over 1250m at Canterbury on June 19.
