RACE 1 - ASK THE QUESTION (1) is making his debut as a six-year-old but has some favours with the inside gate and a solid tempo expected. Found the line well in the trial and could easily feature. MAWSONS EXPEDITION (2) led and looked to give a good kick first-up before being mown down late. Fitter and can give a sight. BILLYBAGO (5) produced a couple of nice placings on soft ground before getting well back on a good 3 and never coming into it at Kempsey. Can improve. PHANTOM PALACE (10) and ANGELINTHENIGHTSKY (6) have some claims.

RACE 2 - MOUGENOT (6) is an interesting runner on debut for Ciaron Maher and found the line well late in his most recent trial. Commands plenty of respect. PONY SOPRANO (7) led all the way to an easy trial win at Port Macquarie recently and expect he will roll forward. Keep safe. SELFLESS VALOUR (5) has filled the minor placing in both starts so far. Did have her chance here last week but stays under notice. SARAYA (10) and SANTOS EL HALPER (3) have some claims.

RACE 3 - PENNIES DESTINY (9) has had several chances to break through but this looks suitable after a sound fourth at Grafton two weeks ago. At peak now and with the run under her belt around the trip she has no excuses. TALAKAI (11) is lightly raced and did run well at Gatton second-up before disappointing at Sunshine Coast off a wide gate. Drawn well and a chance to find form. REBEL ONE (4) has mixed his form of late but placed three of last five so doesn't need to improve a lot to be in the finish. NEFI (8) and POINT TO PROVE (3) have some claims.

RACE 4 - REVEALER (7) showed nice improvement second-up when closing off for second at Kempsey. Good speed here and softer track helps. Good each-way chance. AYE AYE SKIPPER (4) comes back in distance after a handy effort here just over a week ago. Drawn nicely and has a good chance. WEST GERMANY (2) is back after a long break and fitter for one trial. Any support would be significant and could run well fresh. VOCATION (11) and JEUNE DREAMON (12) are worth including.

RACE 5 - BONCASSIE (4) has an imposing record at this track. Go well. BAGLIONI (5) gave a big sight in front when runner-up over a mile here last week. Back in trip but hard to leave out. SILVER CANVAS (11) has been thereabouts at both runs this prep. Respectable effort last start to finish third over 1000m at this track last time out and fitter can run well again. NEVER SORRY (6) and BOW (9) are among the chances.

RACE 6 - MY MATE COBBER (2) is well placed here after a string of solid efforts at Newcastle of late. Just failed as favourite there at a mile last time and while back in trip has a big chance to break through. REEL TORQUE (5) is lightly raced and comes up in class after a runaway maiden win here. Step up in trip looks ideal and he could go on with it. TOY STORY (3) is close to a win after placings at his past two and bumped into a handy one last time out. Hard to leave out with the claims. ATOMIC FORTY SEVEN (6) and TALMA I LOVE HER (8) are among the chances.

RACE 7 - INTOXEL (12) is a model of consistency and has been favourite at her past two starts when runner-up on both occasions. Drawn well and sure to be in the finish somewhere. SUPER JAIE (5) posted a strong win at Kempsey a couple of weeks ago and was well supported there. No reason he couldn't go on with it in an open race. KEVIN MCKEEN (1) disappointed second-up but was impressive fresh so is entitled to another chance back in grade. WANDJINA ROSE (10) and LA CACHE A VIN (4) are among the other hopes.
