RACE 1 - SKY LAND (12) brings a string of placings to resumption and earlier in the year she wasn't beaten far at Stakes level. He won a trial and Newitt rides today. The speedy galloper will be naturally improved and can win with average luck. IT'S JAGGER TIME (11) missed a whisker here first-up and has more to give. Has a 2kg claim today and fitter he should go close. SH'BOURNE GLORY (8) led and just missed on the same day. She's come off a wide gate and has the rail today. A player as well. LIGHTMEUPJAZZ (6) will be better second up and has a 2kg claim and a kind map. His best would see him in the first four.

RACE 2 - THE PRAYER (7) switched from a Victorian yard and missed a whisker here off a 26-day break. He draws wide today but should present fitter and he can go one better with average luck. MONCLERE (8) placed at Hobart and will be better for it. Pires sticks and he maps well. Third-up and is a player. CORSA VELOCE (9) resumes for the Trinder yard and has trialled well. The betting will be key. GEEGEES ROYAL DUKE (1) was sound when clinging onto a minor placing here at the latest. Worth including on short turnaround.

RACE 3 - RICH CLAN (1) missed a nose here in a 64 and was beaten 1L at Hobart prior in 68. Carries more weight but Pres sticks aboard and the on-pacer can go one better. PASHEONA (5) is busting to win again and is a danger. The longer sprint suits and she maps for the run of the race. CHICANE (6) missed a whisker in the Rich Clan race finding more like his best. Keeps the handy 2kg claim and is a chance. EXALTED CROWN (2) led and won this grade easily here two-back. He may lead again here and will give a sight if he does.

RACE 4 - NICCO THE GREEK (4) bounced straight back winning a Hobart 76 by 3.8L on a heavy track. Has even better dry form in the CV and fitter again he can go on with the job. GENERAL ASSEMBLY (2) resumed in good order and then went to Melbourne and was outgraded. Better suited here and winning rider Newitt is reunited. Maps well and can make the finish. FAKE MAGIC (3) just missed here in a 76 getting back to his best. Has a 2kg claim and maps for a soft run. In the mix. KING ISLAND (1) peaks and has been freshened. He's been struggling to find his best but goes into the exotics at a price.

RACE 5 - ZULU ANGEL (2) has been narrowly beaten here last three with the latest here. He comes back to the mile and Newitt is reunited. Deserves the win and finds the right race. COUP DE SPRY (4) won at Hobart and then missed a nose this grade/trip. Risks getting strung up from the rails gate but it's a small field and he's a chance to bounce. MYWORDIS (1) was second-up and was beaten a half-length in the same contest. Maps well and keeps the 3kg claim. Fitter and is a chance. COPPLESON (6) won that race and it was a big effort from the back. Gets more weight and he always needs a good ride.

RACE 6 - BLOOMTIME (6) imp[roved here third-up and has plenty up her sleeve. Has an awkward barrier but fitter no surprise to see her in the finish. BAYBOUGG (10) deserved the Maiden win at Hobart in a return to form. Keeps the 2kg claim and is likely to keep improving. DYSART (4) strips fitter second-up and can feature.

QUICKEN UP (2) won easily here second-up running along and draws low today. Rates well and has the handy 2kg claim. She should go close. CORNELIAN BAY (1) resumed in a 68 and looked a run short. Carries more weight in this grade but is proven second-up and maps well. In the mix. ELMAJAY (7) mixes the form but her best would see her around the mark.

RACE 8 - RALPH THE ROCKET (2) has missed a whisker at her last two on the turf. Draws awkwardly but keeps a gun hoop and rates to go one better. SIR TOROBEEL (4) peaks off two placed efforts on the turf. He just missed here first up and has weight relief. Needs a good ride but can make the finish again. ROWING POWER (3) spikes his figures narrowly beaten at Hobart by Captain Cam. Well in the mix holding that form. EARENDEL (1) trialled well and was too good for the Maidens here Keeps the 2kg claim and the extra metres shouldn't bother. He can keep building.
