RACE 1 - ADASHAN (1) is struggling to win a race like many of his rivals and he never got into the race at Cloncurry last time out which can happen on that track with all of its kickback. He has been placed in 5 of his 8 starts on this circuit and a form reversal is on the cards. YOU MIGHT THINK (8) sat on the speed at Cloncurry last start and kicked on strongly to finish runner-up. He has fewer convictions than most in this and can go one better this time. ROCKBARTON RACER (10) is bringing the same form line into this as the top 2 picks and she is likely to be right in the finish this time. Each way value in an open contest. CYBERWARS (9) was fourth at Cloncurry last start against most of these and is capable of a Top 3 finish this time.

RACE 2 - LAST DESCEND (4) did not kick on here last start but he was racing over 1450m which is not his pet trip. His record over 1200m is much better and he does love it on his home track. He has 2kg less to carry this time and can win this without it being a surprise. THE CARPENTER (2) won 4 races in a row on the picnic circuit earlier in the year and went for a spell after missing out at Eagle Farm at the end of June. He comes to hand quickly and is not too badly treated at the weights. A good draw should see him right in the finish. CAFFREY (3) is a durable veteran resuming from a spell and he normally comes to hand quickly. A 3kg claim will be an advantage as will be a good draw. Each way value. THE TYLER (5) has been battling to get back to his best form and is dropping back to 1200m which should help. He is worth another chance and is worth including in all combinations.

RACE 3 - JAKAZONE (3) has been well below his best since winning at Julia Creek at the end of August. He was unsuited by the kickback at Cloncurry last time out and had a much better record over this trip on the track, winning 3 times. A 2kg claim will help and he can turn his form around. Don't risk him. THE LAST CRUSADE (2) was a well-beaten third at a recent picnic meeting on this track just over 3 weeks ago and was in the money in both of his starts before that as well. He tries hard and can figure in the finish again. DISPUTE (5) fought on bravely when finishing fourth as favourite at Cloncurry despite resenting the kickback of the track that day. He can secure the run of the race from the pole position and a win would be no surprise. Follow your money. PARISIAN LADY (4) dropped her rider in her first start for the Tanya Parry stable. She is a handy mare on her day and is worth an each-way ticket. RISK IN ROME (8) has an excuse last start a month ago at Winton. Include in all multiples.

RACE 4 - BENEVENTO (6) remained unbeaten on this course with a last-start win by over 5 lengths. He rises in class but drops 3.5kg in weight and should continue on his winning way here. FROZEN PRINCE (7) has a very good record on this circuit with 4 wins and 2 placings from just 7 starts. He fought on well enough to finish fourth at Charleville just over a fortnight ago when starting as favourite and is much better placed over 1450m. He carried 54kg after the claim and should be hard to hold out again. HOTSTEP (3) has changed stables since his last run 11 months ago. He will find things a touch easier in this area and if he doesn't need the hit-out, he will be right in the finish. A market watch is advised. METAL BAR (2) has won 4 of his 7 starts on this track and has had some gear changes since his last run here just over 3 weeks ago when finishing a well-beaten fourth. He is down in class and with a 3kg claim, he can bounce straight back into the money. METAL BAR (4) can win again.

RACE 5 - SHOALWATER BAY (3) has needed both of his runs back from a spell and was a touch disappointing as favourite last time out at Charleville when finishing a well-beaten fifth. He won't have any excuses third up and has the blinkers on for the first time which should help keep his mind on the task at hand. Follow your money. On top. HI ZERO (4) is a consistent veteran who has been holding his form well all season and has won 3 times on this track. He can make full use of the pole position as he did in his penultimate start and will be right in the finish again. DEVIL (1) was unsuited by the Cloncurry kickback off the track when resuming from a spell and has a much better record on this circuit. He is right down in class now and should have a say in the outcome of this race, despite lumping the top weight. NASA (6) resumes and appeals fresh.

RACE 6 - FIFTY CARATS (1) did not cope at all with the kickback off the Cloncurry track in a higher grade last time out and that run is best ignored. She has thrived since joining the Tanya Parry stable late last season, winning twice, and with the advantage of the pole position back on this track, she is the one to beat. BENDOLIRRA (2) came with a well-timed run to score by a nose at a recent picnic meeting here just over 8 weeks ago. He is down in class from that run and is more than likely to settle near the rear from his wide draw. He has to carry an extra 7kg this time but can't be ruled out of going back-to-back. Stick with him. GOLDEN EIGHTY (5) has been below his best this season but is much better than that and will appreciate returning to 1200m. Don't drop him, can win. GRAND POPE (6) ran on late here just over 3 weeks ago in his first run for the Emma Morton stable. He has a good draw and is worth including in all combinations. Each way value.

RACE 7 - MINA'S LEGACY (11) made a winning debut from the Tanya Parry stable when scoring at Cloncurry at odds of 50/1. She can put herself right on the early pace again over 1000m and with the advantage of a 2kg claim, she carries a kilo less than last time. She is poised to make it 2 wins on the bounce but don't expect a fancy price this time. SPEEDY MACHO (2) fought on strongly to finish third here last time out in the same class. He won't have any issue with the drop back to 1000m and another honest effort can be expected. RESTRICTIONS (1) is down in class from his last run at Cloncurry when he finished fourth after making the early running that day. A 3kg claim will help him and with a furlong less to travel this time, he could take them all of the way. TOW THE LINE (8) has been placed in both of her starts this season and is peaking at the right time. A 3kg claim will be an advantage and her next win is not far away.
