RACE 1 - ACRES AWAY (2) faces a significant class drop on his last start second over 1000m at Eagle Farm when he charged home late but just failed to pick up Appin Girl. Cherry-ripe after two runs back from a spell and his record at today's trip stands at three wins from four attempts. Should be too good for these. INSTAGOOD (4) overcame an awkward start to get up by a narrow margin last time out over 1000m at Toowoomba (metro). Genuine mare who should hold that form at just the third run of the campaign. Three-year-old STREET CHASE (11) brings a different angle to the race. In the money at all three runs to date, including a soft win over this course and distance to break the maiden when resuming two back. Ready for this sterner test. SHE'S A ROGUE (6) was ridden aggressively last start and just failed to hang on over this track and trip. Each-way hope.

RACE 2 - Quite a few first starters engaged but the runners with race experience make plenty of appeal. BETTERLUCKNEXTTIME (1) stalked the pace then quickened nicely to win comfortably on debut last start over this course and distance. Blinkers come off in an interesting move. No reason he cannot get the job done again. LA BELLA BOOM (8) on debut for Gollan won a recent trial and looks to have some talent. Angela Jones probably had the pick of his two runners and went this way. Stablemate CANOODLING (5) is a Capitalist filly who was runner-up in a Gold Coast trial recently. Looks ready to run well on debut. First starter LOVE TO TORQUE (9) was edged out by La Bella Boom in her only trial to date. Must be respected out of the inside gate.

RACE 3 - CASTILLIAN (1) had the benefit of a glorious run behind the leaders before closing strongly to win with ease last start over 1500m at Eagle Farm. Less luck with the barrier draw this time but Jones can cross and take up a closer position over this slightly longer trip. Capable of a repeat performance. AERIAL DANCER (10) won first-up over 1400m at Eagle Farm then went back to 1350m last time when a game second at this track in a BM78 against the mares. Failed at her only try at 1600m but that was in Listed company. Very fit and sure to play a big role. MOSZUR (5) closed well for fifth when resuming in the same race as Aerial Dancer over 1350m here recently. Raced once at the mile for a win. Genuine contender. RASHFORD (8) is up in class but drops 5kgs on his barnstorming win over 1350m at Ipswich 19 days ago. Placed 3/4 at this distance so from a good gate he has the right credentials. MERCHANT FLYER (4) comes here off two soft wins in weaker grade. Cannot be underestimated.

RACE 4 - NAVYONTHEHIGHWAY (12) returned from a 14-week spell and made it three wins from four career runs when she led from the outset and easily disposed of her rivals over 1110m here three weeks ago. Goes up 4kgs and is untested at this distance but she is an untapped talent going places. Queensland Oaks placegetter MISS JOELENE (11) is back from a four-month spell. Has raced four times when fresh and won three of them, including once at this course and distance. Class mare who looks well in after the claim. KADALL (5) chalked up his fourth minor placing in a row when beaten a whisker in a Class 4 over this course and distance a month ago. Form at or around this trip is outstanding, with three wins and seven minors from 11 attempts. Must be included despite the gap between runs. QUOTHQUAN (9) is another with claims dropping back into an easier race.

RACE 5 - ROLLER COASTER (4) did a tremendous job to come from last on the bend and win a BM70 over 1700m at the Gold Coast first-up. Stepped up to a BM78 last start at Eagle Farm over 1820m and was never a factor. Gets in well with the claim and back in this grade can return to form. ALDEENAARY (8) found 1500m far too sharp when resuming at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago. Lightly raced Waller-trained six-year-old who is better placed today and can improve sharply. The consistent MAJORIAN (7) came to Brisbane last start and was beaten under a length after coming from worse than midfield on the corner over 2050m at this circuit. The winner of three from five at this distance so he is sure to be competitive. PEPPERDINE (6) is on trial at this distance. Failed on a bog last start but the form prior to that in decent races was strong. Right in the mix. BITOFTHEBLARNEY (12) tired at his first try beyond the mile last time out. Better for that hit-out and should be prominent for a long way.

RACE 6 - SUPERALLOY (1) last appeared when he ran the race of his life to finish third in Broadsiding's Sires over 1400m at Eagle Farm in June. Won a recent trial so he looks to be in for a great prep. Draws perfectly and has the class to take care of these. ZATANNA (9) led and gave a kick but was nailed late when resuming over 1000m at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago. They broke 57 secs so her effort to run them along and find under pressure had merit. Will be hard to catch with the light weight today. SIX MORE SONGS (10) raced handy and wouldn't lie down when beaten under a length in the same race as Zatanna at Eagle Farm recently. Needs luck from the gate but she has the talent. VIALE (11) won a $50k maiden at Port Macquarie last time out. Big step up today but respect the Dunn stable's decision to come here. Gollan-trained BOOMTOWN BOSS (7) is back from a six-month absence. Heavily supported at both runs in the maiden prep. Market watch.

RACE 7 - MILITARY EXPERT (1) has had three runs since an eight-week let-up and is ready to peak. Led and gave a sight but was overpowered by the in-form Junipal last start over this course and distance. Carries the same weight in an easier race today. Big chance to break a long win drought. Consistent mare SIZZLING GAL (5) started favourite in the Lismore Cup run at Grafton last start but found Flashing Steel too good after giving away a big start. Won a Class 6 over the mile here in August carrying 1kg more - huge chance on that effort. FLASHING STEEL (2) stalked the pace at Grafton and was way too good in the Lismore Cup 25 days ago. Distance specialist who maps nicely and is sure to be in the finish again. Ignore the last start failure of POETIC DRAMA (3) who rarely performs well second-up. Placed 3/4 when third-up, draws a better gate, and will enjoy the extra trip so a far better run is on the cards. LIVING FREE (6) is up in grade but recent form is hard to fault.

RACE 8 - METALART (3) returned from a 19-week spell and tasted defeat for the first time in five career runs when a closing fifth over 1000m at Eagle Farm last start. Raced twice over 1200m last prep and led from barrier rise on each occasion. Should cross from the wide gate and sit outside Majorelle before lengthening in the run home. The consistent SCUD (14) added to his long sequence of minor placings when an eye-catching third last time out over 1110m at this track. Yet to miss the frame in four runs over today's journey. Needs a bit of luck from the tricky gate but is sure to be thereabouts. BRENTWOOD (2) didn't do much first-up over 1110m here, but he is a dual winner over the 1200m trip at this venue. Likely improver. BEWS (5) returns from a 12-week break for a new stable. Opened last prep with a desperately close second over this distance at Caulfield which is a strong form reference. The speedy MAJORELLE (1) should lead from a nice draw and will give plenty of cheek.

RACE 9 - XPRESSO (8) returned in good style over 1000m at Eagle Farm last start, stoking up late to be beaten under a length in a BM80. Tackling a better race today but drops sharply in the weights and gets to his pet distance. The one to beat in a tricky little race. SALTAIRE (7) is a major threat first-up from a 23-week spell for new trainer Tony Gollan. Ran on well to finish third behind Estriella in the Group 3 Sunlight Classic over 1100m at Flemington when resuming last prep. Thrown in at the weights. TIGER SHARK (4) raced handy but was no match for Wanda Rox in the closing stages when fresh from a spell recently. Steps up to a more suitable trip today and her Doomben form is excellent. Right in contention. RUBIQUITOUS (1) edged Tiger Shark out of second spot at Eagle Farm last start to continue his resurgent form. Hasn't won for a while but cannot be underestimated. GOLDSBOROUGH (2) is another who has forgotten how to win but is one for the wider exotics.

RACE 10 - BETTCHA THE CROWN (9) raced handy and looked a chance all the way down the running but missed out narrowly when resuming over this course and distance three weeks ago. Up in class but gets some weight relief. Only needs a bit of luck from the sticky gate to be right in the finish again. Genuine gelding BLAKMAX (4) led but was collared late in a Class 6 over 1400m at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago. Draws his best barrier for some time. Track and distance specialist who is a huge threat. SHA OF GOMER (5) continues to thrive in Queensland for Waller. Battled on bravely again under a big weight at Eagle Farm last time but was edged out at the end of 1400m. Expecting more of the same. NED'S GULLY (1) has been thereabouts all prep in better races than this. Very fit and gets his chance. I AM ARTIE (6) has won each of his five races since coming back from a 14-month spell for new trainer Paul Jenkins. Steps up another level today but a sixth straight win is a real possibility.
