Back in trip and has the figures to take this out. LAMBAY (8) exciting Canberra-trained gelding who showed an explosive turn of foot first up when a dominant 2.5 len winner over 1300m at Canberra on October 11. Up sharply in grade and can figure prominently. DEVGRU (12) up in trip when improving sharply along the inside for a gritty win over 1600m at Queanbeyan three weeks ago. Drops in weight with the 3kg claim and stays in the mix in this tougher contest.
RACE 2 - PIPPIE BEACH (10) progressive mare with the handy record of three wins from six starts. Settled back from the wide draw and finished off strongly when third over 1400m at Randwick Kensington on October 9. Can stalk the good tempo here and prove hard to hold out late. ELETTRICA (1) tough mare with a solid record at this course. Fitter now after catching the eye late when fifth over 1200m at Warwick Farm on October 16. This trip is still short of her best but expected to play a leading role. ASGARDA (3) smart country-trained mare who was a total forgive from the wide draw when a slashing fifth over 1200m at Randwick in the Kosciuszko on October 19. Well drawn and she has a solid second-up record. BAKERLOO (4) handy type resuming with a good fresh record. Fitted with two trials and look for him launching late with Wadick's 3kg claim.
RACE 3 - AMBASSADORIAL (5) sat on the good tempo second up when holding on well to secure third over 1600m at Warwick Farm on October 23. Backs-up quickly and should have little trouble running out the 2000m. Goes close. SEAFALL (9) progressive mare chasing her third straight win in this tougher contest. Parked off the speed and rounded them up effortlessly over 1800m here a month ago. Kept ticking over with a recent 1200m trial at Randwick and Moreira retains the ride. Hard to hold out. FAY'S ANGELS (4) tenacious mare due for a change of luck. Ranged up strongly with the 59.5kg when a fighting long neck second over 2000m in the Taree Cup on October 18. Will relish the 3kg claim and she has a fitness edge over most of these. LAUDING (1) proven in this grade and over this trip. Three weeks between runs when a disappointing last over 1900m at this track in BM88 class on September 28. Kept up to the mark with a 1030m Rosehill trial and sharp improvement is anticipated.
RACE 4 - SILENTSAR (7) almost a month between runs when hitting the line late with the 59kg to finish second over 1200m at Warwick Farm in this class on October 16. Strips fitter now from the good gate and drops in weight. Expected to go close. IRON MAN (4) holding his form well and will relish the solid tempo. Never a chance from the wide gate last time out when sixth over 1400m at Randwick in BM88 class on October 19. Will stalk the tempo today and prove hard to hold out. SPANISH FOX (2) racing quickly through his grades and chasing his fifth-straight win today. Up in class here after fighting late to win over 1300m at Warwick Farm on October 23. Claim helps again and stays in the mix. RAVENCLAW (9) capable of a show.
RACE 5 - PIRAEUS (9) put the writing on the wall last time out when launching late for a slick third over 1400m here on October 12. Will appreciate the fast tempo and extra distance. Expected to play a leading role. HARLOW MIST (5) raced in much stronger company last time in and strips fitter after finishing a gritty fourth over 1400m at Randwick in BM78 class on October 9. Kept up to the mark with a searching 1200m trial and she gets the services of Nash Rawiller. Genuine contender. ARTFUL PERSUASION (14) is one of three contenders from the in-form Mitch Beer yard. On the quick back-up after charging late to score as fav over 1400m at Kembla Grange last Saturday. Gets his chance from the low gate. ALABAMA STATE (16) is a model of consistency who steps out to the 1500m for the first time with the claim. Poorly drawn and can sneak into the minor money. The chances don't end there.
RACE 6 - UZZIAH (2) dynamite fresh gelding who looks well placed again with the 3kg claim. First-up last time out, led throughout for a dominant 3 len win over 1200m at Randwick in this class on September 7. Well drawn again and since fitted with a 795m trial placing. Expected to go close. INFATUATION (5) classy mare returning from a nine-month break. Jumped in grade from the wide gate when a tenacious fourth over 1400m at Flemington in the G3 Vanity on February 17. Returns with two solid trial placings under the belt and expected to sprint well fresh. DOLLAR MAGIC (4) sat on the fast tempo first up when a fighting third to Pharari over 1100m here on October 12. Goes equally as well second up and maps to go close again. TRISTATE (3) consistent sprinter who almost pinched it with the 59kg last start when nailed late to run second behind Pharari over 1100m here. Solid top-four contender.
RACE 7 - BELLA NIPOTINA (3) courageous mare who was ridden a treat from the outside gate when sitting on the speed for a fighting nose win over 1200m in the G1 The Everest at Randwick last time out. Won this race last year and she should be able to defend her title from the good gate. SUNSHINE IN PARIS (4) snagged back early from the sticky draw and returned good sectionals late when a narrow fifth over 1200m in the G1 The Everest at Randwick. Poorly drawn again but racing like she will appreciate this trip. Good enough to take this out. KING OF SPARTA (2) massive performance first-up from the outside gate when rattling late to finish fourth over 1200m at Randwick in the G3 Sydney Stakes on October 19. Dynamite second-up and has each-way prospects. PRIVATE EYE (1) tough old gelding who won this race in 2022. Kept finding from the awkward gate when a close-up sixth over 1200m at Randwick in the G1 Everest. Winkers go on and can race closer from the inside gate.
RACE 8 - ASCOLI PICENO (19) Japanese trained mare who brings impeccable ratings here. First run back she defeated a strong lineup when taking out the G3 Keisei Hai Autumn Handicap at Nakayama over 1600m on September 8. Expecting Moreira to weave his magic from the sticky barrier and figure prominently. JOLIESTAR (16) drifted back early before savaging the line late when seventh in the G1 The Everest at Randwick over 1200m on October 19. Ready for the 1500m now and is a genuine top-three prospect. LAZZAT (12) French gelding by Territories undefeated in six starts. Has a smart record over this trip and maps to get the right run after scoring a 3 len victory in the G1 MRC De Cheest over 1300m at Deauville on August 4. Has settled in well by all reports and can keep his unbeaten record intact. STEFI MAGNETICA (15) won the Stradbroke Hcp last prep and has looked sharp in two runs back. Failed to sprint with them when ninth over 1200m in the G1 The Everest at Randwick last time out. Each-way.
RACE 9 - AKUA'RIUS (12) German import fitter after two runs back and drops 6.5kg in weight for this. Warmed up late with the 59.5kg when a tough fifth over 2000m here on October 12. Looks up to this grade and can race a little closer from the low gate. Better than his current price suggests. FAWKNER PARK (1) soft in betting late when drifted back in the run before charging late out wide to secure fifth over 1800m in the G3 Craven Plate at Randwick on October 26. Saves his best for this track and trip and he should get the required tempo. BEAR ON THE LOOSE (13) lightly raced import who looks set to peak third-up. Sat on the good tempo before being collared late when fourth over 2000m here last time out. Likely to spear across from the sticky draw and take catching on the limit weight. HINGED (8) dragged back from the wide gate before surging late down the outside when third over 1600m at Randwick in the G3 Angst on October 19. Yet to win this trip but stays in the calculations.
RACE 10 - BULLETS HIGH (9) resumed after finishing unplaced in the QLD Derby with a sharp win over 1400m at Warwick Farm on October 16. Goes just as well second-up and can win again in this stronger contest. MOUNTAIN TOP (11) is one of four Waller runners racing in a rich vein of form. Outclassed her rivals with the 58.5kg when leading throughout over 1600m at Warwick Farm as fav on October 7. Drops in weight and gets the right race set-up again in this stronger event. CAPTAIN FURAI (7) progressive gelding expected to go quickly through his grades this time in. First-up after four months he plugged away late when fourth over 1400m at Randwick Kensington on October 9. Extra distance suits and adept in all conditions. POPPIN' CHAMPAGNE (5) showed plenty of grit when up on the pace to finish a narrow fourth behind Lekvarte over 1600m in the G3 Angst Stakes at Randwick last time out. Stays in the calculations.
