RACE 1 - Tricky race to assess with a stack of first starters engaged. ANGEL TORQUE (7) is a Harry Angel filly stepping out for the in-form Clarken & Macgillivray partnership. She has impressed at each of her trials in readiness and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Bold showing is anticipated. CHARM CATCHER (8) is a Blue Point filly appearing for the first time for the Andrew Gluyas team. Is another that caught the eye in her lead-up work and is well-placed to play a major role. KIKORANGI (4) jumps out for the first time for the smart juvenile stable of R & C Jolly. Was a solid trial winner late last month and has Toeroek sticking. Have to take seriously. JURA VAUDOIS (6) resumes and looks best of the raced bunch. Gets in low at the weights with the 3kg claimer engaged. Deserves respect.

RACE 2 - BELLENTIA (5) only warmed to her task late on debut but got motoring to snatch a minor placing. Is sure to have come on with that run under her belt and will appreciate the added trip. Watch for her climbing over their backs again. LOCA BELLA (12) was better here second-up when chasing soundly into a midfield finish. Strips fitter and is drawn kinder with Neindorf taking over. Can give this a big shake. FLAMING EYES (7) was only fair to the line on debut at Morphettville. Crowther sticking is a positive and improvement is anticipated. DARK HELMET (2) finds the maiden win elusive. Is a backmarker who could cause a scare late if she brings her A-game.

RACE 3 - GINGER SINNER (9) struggles to land the winning blow but continues to knock on the door. Was beaten narrowly again last start in town by what looks an above-average one, who subsequently jumped fav in a hot field. Peak fitness now and has Toeroek sticking. The one to beat. WARM BREEZE (7) is a Kiwi important making his stable debut for the Bain & Taylor partnership. Returns a gelding and strips fitter for a solid hit out here in readiness. Draws low for Nunes and can make a strong Australian debut. ARLO'S DREAM (8) is a Sir Prancealot gelding on debut for Jon O'Connor. Has shown some positive signs in his lead-up work without threatening and carries a feather on his back with the 3kg claimer engaged. Worth paying attention to what the market does with him. PETROL HEAD (11) is another debutant that deserves respect. Toeroek for Jolly is always dangerous.

RACE 4 - FLAMBARD (2) is yet to strike through this campaign but continues to knock on the door. Will appreciate the drop in grade and blinkers on first time should have him more focused. Expect it to prove the winning move. BYWATERS ROAD (1) went on with the job nicely last start at Naracoorte after racing prominently. Not that much tougher this time, no reason he can't go very close. PRICKLY POPPY (3) was only sound to the line when resuming in town. Is sure to have come on with that run under the belt and is a second-up winner. Has run well over this trip without winning and she gets her chance to break a long run of outs. SPEAKEASY (7) strips fitter third-up after narrowly missing the frame here last time out. Nunes piloting from the inside draw reads favourably. ARCHDEACON (8) made a stack of ground to fill the frame last start at Murray Bridge. Holds intrigue on the quick turnaround.

RACE 5 - STAR SIRIUS (7) returns for the sharp stable of R & C Jolly. Was a barnstorming debut winner here back in May. A similar display is anticipated with Toeroek reuniting. SIR REGINALD (6) gave backers a bold sight when resuming a firm favourite at Gawler but tired late to finish fourth. Better for the hit-out and is sure to be in this for a very long way. Should take some reeling in for his rivals. TALL LETTER (2) was well below his best last start in town but has been ticking along nicely prior. This looks an easier C1 and he's a track and trip winner. Have to take seriously. SERENE MOON (1) finished full of running when resuming at Morphettville off a very long break. May need another run but she should be kept safe.

RACE 6 - SAN LUCIDO (2) has gone better than his form reads in his two runs back. Peaking now and is aided under the big weight with the 3kg claimer engaged. Bold showing anticipated. PRANCING COUNTESS (12) lengthened nicely in the lane to record a stylish win in this grade at Gawler last start. Full of confidence now and there's no reason she can't go on with it. DEVIL'S DEXTER (9) chased steadily to the line when resuming against tougher opposition in town at the latest. Easier this time and has added fitness. Can improve quickly. JIVE BABY (11) has left herself with too much to do in her two runs back. Toeroek is a gun for hire and reunites with two wins already aboard. Will be praying the gaps appear.

RACE 7 - ALPHA FLIGHT (1) is yet to break through this time in knocking on the door. Peak fitness now and gets help under the big weight with the 3kg claimer engaged. Gets his chance. AMELIA VALENTINA (5) caught the eye first-up when rattling home to just miss in town. Is sure to have come on with that run under the belt and is 1/1 at this venue. Expect to see her climbing over their backs again late in the piece. INNOCENT SIPS (6) put the writing on the wall first-up and capitalised in great style last start to shed the maiden tag. Drawn sticky again but deserves respect. TUPOLEU (4) next best.
