RACE 1 - Tricky race to kick off the card with many of these babies facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade BETTER GO TORQUE (1) is on debut but has shown ability at the trials and draws the inside marble. Respect any market confidence. MILESTONE (8) was dominant winning a recent trial here and only needs luck from the outside draw to play a role in the outcome. HAPPY COFFEE (6) just missed the placings last time out and should be near her peak now. In the mix. MEET GEORGE (4) first race starter. Showed ability when placed in a recent trial and kicks off in a relatively small field.

RACE 2 - SNOW SHOW (1) finished runner-up around this circuit at the latest effort and the extra furlong here should suit. Top-three conveyance. FLASH ONE HEY (2) will have derived a stack of benefit from his first time at the races and may earn some minor money. RUMBLING AWAY (6) finished in the placings for the first time last start when third over 1400m at this track. Can go on with it. MIGRATORY (9) can contest for a place.

RACE 3 - ACCELAR (5) is one from one over this course and distance and is yet to put in a poor one. Top-three commodity. ZATANNA (7) should be ready to peak third-up from the spell and gets a jockey upgrade in Maloney. In the mix. LI'L REX (6) next in line in a race decimated by scratchings.

RACE 4 - SUPER FREEZE (5) resumes here but the form he showed in his first campaign was more than good enough to play a major role in this contest. Revved up for this with two recent trials and draws to get across easily from gate two. Should be right there at the business end. TORQUE ABOUT MAGIC (11) doesn't win out of turn but has hit the top five in eight of her past nine outings and is a definite top-three conveyance on best form. INTEGRITY LANE (1) has won over this track and trip and gets Thornton on top. Among the better hopes.

RACE 5 - Looks a wide-open affair. GREAT ASPIRATIONS (6) resumes here but is two from two over this course and distance and has won when first-up before. Can run a race while fresh. BONDED AFFAIR (9) has only missed a drum once in five attempts around this circuit and is usually thereabouts. Top-three credentials. CHAKRA BOY (4) goes well for Stanley who has two wins and four placings from just eight steers. Among the leading hopes. THE FIXER (8) is a last-start winner who cannot be ignored.

RACE 6 - PIREONTI (11) has placed around this circuit, draws low in gate two and strips fitter third-up from the spell. Ticks a few boxes. OPTIMUS MAXIMUS (4) broke the maiden status last time out and looks one at odds for the exotics. SOKUDO (9) and WAYFARER'S WAY (10) round out the selections in a race decimated by scratchings.

RACE 7 - POCKET FULL (1) has gotten better with each run this campaign and is yet to miss a drum in four starts around this circuit. Makes plenty of appeal. FASTCONI (7) has hit the top-four in seven of his past eight starts and will be ready to peak now fourth-up from the spell. Top-three aspirations. CONVINCEBILITY (9) usually races well second-up so can improve on his seventh when resuming at Doomben. PERVADE (2) next best.
