Racing & Sports expert selections.
RACE 1 - INOTELL (3) ran a better race last start when he worked home well to finish a close third over this track and trip. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MEGASUN (10) also improved sharply last start but found one better over 1350m at this track, beaten only a neck after being prominent at the turn. Nicely placed to play another major role. INTO THE WOOD (4) missed the placings first up recently but was not too far from the winner when fourth here. Races well when second-up. Among the leading chances. EL EXPLOSIVO (8) finds the maiden win elusive but it certainly hasn't been without trying. Continues to attract firm market support, much of the same can be anticipated.
RACE 2 - RUSCHEYNE (12) ran below expectations last time at this track but was much better the start prior over this short sprint. Drops back to the 1000m and can bounce back sharply. LOVE SO SWEET (14) only warmed to her task late in the piece last start and made some inroads. Fitter and is one to watch for charging late. THE INEOS (5) will be further improved at his third outing and gets a key booking in Milnes. Major player. DUCK DUCK DUCK (3) is a nicely bred colt by sire Vino Rosso from the stakes-winner Whisper Louise on debut. Placed in a trial leading into this. Should run well.
RACE 3 - HARLEEN (8) made considerable ground in the run home to finish second last start over this track and trip. Form here at this journey is sound, including two wins. Sure to be putting in the big strides late again. ZOUTONS (4) finished second at Balaklava two runs back but couldn't quite follow it up last start, finishing 2 lengths back in sixth. Has his share of ability and is among the key chances. KINGSON (1) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a third most recently over this course and distance. Among the chances again. CATALINA BLUE (7) is also a player.
RACE 4 - SPEAKEASY (8) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out when getting within a length of the winner over 1550m at Bordertown after being in contention on the turn. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is up to the challenge. CHANTISS (11) last appeared five-and-a-half weeks ago over 2050m at Strathalbyn when she finished second. This is her first run for the J Dunn & K Bishop stable. Drops back in trip off 37-day freshen and a bold showing is anticipated. ONEMORE MARSHALL (3) has been mixing his form recently. Won't find this as tough. Has winning claims. ISUSPECTJEU (7) did a great job to score over this course and distance last start to maintain her good form of late. Nicely placed to feature in the finish again.
RACE 5 - LADYMEANSBUSINESS (9) made considerable ground in the run home to finish alongside Sutadamu here last start here. Strips fitter and is sure to be winding up late again. SHIPWRECK (6) strode forward early last start from his wide draw and was never headed. Have to take seriously. CALL ME HERBIE (5) came home strongly last start to finish second over 1210m at this track. Can measure up again. SUTADAMU (3) did a good job last start to finish second here, beaten a long neck. Gets in well at the weights again with the 3kg claimer sticking and should give this a shake.
RACE 6 - CHOSEN MISS (2) was far from disgraced when sixth last start over a similar trip at Murray Bridge. That followed a win at Balaklava the start prior. Sairyn Fawke gets the best out of this six-year-old mare. Will enjoy a drop in class so she is a major player. BELMONT AVENUE (6) ran below expectations last time after being prominent on the bend at this track, finishing a narrow fifth when firm in the market. The engagement of Alana Livesey is noteworthy. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. SUPER VALENTINE (5) got the prize two runs ago but was less impressive last time out. Expect a better run this time. MR TRAFFICANTI (7) may appreciate the longer trip.
RACE 7 - RUN AND TELL (3) was far from disgraced last start in town, that followed a good first-up win at Clare. Hitting his straps now third-up and is perfectly placed to get the job done. ROSE RING (14) ran below expectations last start, finishing fifth but not beaten that far in the end after picking up strongly late. Strips rock-hard fit and is drawn favourably. Can make amends. MIDNIGHT RULER (6) didn't give his rivals a sniff here last start when leading pillar-to-post here. Drawn to advantage and has to be taken seriously. Looking for a better showing from SOLAR MIST (9).
RACE 8 - EVENING BRIDE (5) produced a good effort when narrowly defeated last time at this track. Ticking along nicely of late and is a leading chance. HEY MICHAEL (2) did enough to fend off Evening Bride at this track last time out. Boasts six wins here. Sairyn Fawke who has four wins when partnering stays on. Carries more weight this time but is among the leading chances. UTILITARIAN (7) wound up strongly in the run home last start to register an impressive win over 1000m at this track. Has been in great form with two victories from four outings this preparation. Capable of going well. MCKEEVER (6) was unwanted in betting last time but scored by half a length over 1200m at Morphettville. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Solid claims on best form.
