RACE 1 - CHURCH ROCK (2) settled back and didn't have the luck when he needed it when a close third in a similar race last time. Sure to be right in the finish. FOO FIGHTER (4) raced on pace and weakened when resuming here. Blinkers go on and he's entitled to another chance. LAGOON (5) boxed on well when a close third over this distance third-up. Chance to be in the finish once again. IRISH GIFT (1) and SASKATOON BERRY (8) are worth including in the main hopes.

RACE 2 - CORVALIST (1) has placed in eight of 11 starts and backs up after a game second at Murwillumbah last weekend. Sits handy and sure to be competitive again. RUSTIC TZAR (5) showed improvement second-up when runner-up at Ballina and comes here fresh with five weeks between runs. Include in the chances. FUTURE HERO (3) is a big watch on debut having trialled nicely on two occasions at Beaudesert. Drawn well and could show up. SIGLO DE ORO (6) and JIDAYUBORI (9) have each-way claims.

RACE 3 - GROOVY DAY (4) won well first-up and has been sound in two subsequent runs including a close second at Murwillumbah. Draws nicely and hard to hold out. MANIC LIGHT (7) resumed with a handy placing on a heavy track at Ballina and tends to improve with the run under the belt. Definite chance. ALF'S MAGIC (5) boxed on okay to run third at Murwillumbah last time and has claims. GOLDEN GATE (1) and BOWDARCIE (8) are worth including.

RACE 4 - MONARCH EXPRESS (7) is lightly raced and showed improvement at second start when narrowly beaten at this track a couple of weeks ago. Extra ground in his favour and should run well. AIMA SUN (11) has placed in seven of nine starts and just failed last time out at Gatton and gets another chance from the inside gate. AQUATEMPO (12) has been freshened up and blinkers go on so can improve on last start below par effort. HERE'S MASON (3) and LABARNA (4) are place hopes.

RACE 5 - IBERIAN RULER (5) made a promising return when placed at the Sunshine Coast over a mile and will be fitter. Extra ground no worries and has won here. Good chance. AMALGAMATION (2) has been close up at his past two and while he's had a number of chances he's a good each-way hope. MAJESTIC ANGEL (10) hit the line okay last time at the Gold Coast and is sure to be running on again here. CAMELOT STAR (4) is also worth including with the added aid of the claim.

RACE 6 - IMPENDOR (1) is the best horse in the race and comes right back in class to resume here. Trip is a little short of his best but does go well fresh and drawn the inside. Go well. UNDER TWENTY TWO (5) went for a break with a string of minors against his name and is well worth keeping safe fresh. BRIGHT BLONDE (3) resumed with an even effort at Doomben a month ago and will be fitter for it. Look for an improved showing. LASER BEAM (7) and SPIRIT FOX (2) are capable of showing up.

RACE 7 - HAYAKU (9) has been racing well and if he can hold his ground from an inside gate he should take holding out. Should be competitive. NAILS AND PRIDE (8) is another in good form and drawn well so will give a good sight up on the speed. MILEY'S MEMORY (11) is capable of improvement on last start effort at Beaudesert and gets the chance to show up. BRAVE INSTINCTION (15) and TENNESSEE WHISKEY (10) are worth including in the chances.
