Midweek racing from Sandown Lakeside and Randwick Kensington and we’ve got a horse to follow from each meeting.
Sandown Lakeside Race 1 – Lovelycut
Bit of a stock standard meeting in Melbourne but the win of Lovelycut in the opener was good off the back of a Pakenham Synthetic maiden win. She was up against some big name stables here with some well credentialed two-year-olds but gave them a touch up, circling the field and putting the race away smartly. The maiden she won prior wasn't a bad race either and she looks a nice prospect for Reece Goodwin.
Randwick Kensington Race 2 – Clear Proof
Interesting maiden here with Clear Proof running on strongly to take it at 100-1 on debut. The first three across the line are all by Justify and Clear Proof, while starting very long odds, took all honours with a strong win, cracking the 90 mark on the R&S scale. The time is okay against the Bm72 over the same trip, and a length or so faster than the other 1100m maiden, and the market might weight Clear Proof's starting price too heavily next time out.
