Brisbane CEO Greg Swann admits 'wildcard' weekend has some merit.

The concept was raised at a recent meeting of the minds in the AFL.

"If it was this weekend, you've got teams like the Dogs and Hawks who aren't in the eight playing off for a spot," Swann told RSN.

"It'd be pretty good footy."
