Paul Messara has lifted the lid on the story behind Matt Damon buying into a Castelvecchio colt and calling it 'Dale'.

The Hollywood superstar will no doubt keeping a close eye on the first race at Kensington on Wednesday, when the colt makes its debut.

"It's a great positive for racing. He's a great guy. You love training for nice people and he is certainly one of those," Messara told RSN.
