“Ready to fire”: Gannon's Saturday best at Rosehill (29/11)

Leading form analyst Mick Gannon from TheGreatTipOff and SENTrack & RSN has provided his best bets for the weekend of racing.

Gannon has targeted Rosehill for the Festival Stakes and ATC Cup meeting.

Race 8 – #10 Yorkshire

Yorkshire was a clear risk first-up in The Hunter after coming up with a horror draw, and the gate ultimately beat him. He now lines up second-up with the benefit of that hit-out and finally comes up with a low draw in barrier 1 in a race lacking genuine early tempo.

He should punch up and park right behind the leader, get every favour in the run, and from there his turn of foot can be fully utilised.

Expect him to quicken hard when the gap appears and give this field something to chase.

Race 5 – #7 Snack Bar

Now in the care of Bjorn Baker after leaving the Godolphin system, Snack Bar has been tuned up with two trials and looks to have settled in beautifully. His latest trial was excellent and suggests he’s ready to fire fresh.

Lyles is the obvious threat after a soft kill in Queensland, but he’s tighter in the market than he should be at this level.

Snack Bar draws to camp behind the speed, and that inside run around the short Rosehill 1100m circuit is a genuine advantage. With a smooth passage at the right time, he can make a big impression for the new yard and should be right in the finish.
