Race 5 | 3. Fully Calculated
Been up for a bit and therefore has the fitness edge over the favourite but the reason I'm siding this way is the better speed map. The 2kg claim for Radley from that gate will allow him to dictate it from the fence and find a couple of lengths at the top of the straight. He ran well at Cranbourne in a tougher race than this and I agree the form of Yes We Are last prep holds him in good stead but this is a circumstance bet more so than class.
Race 6 | 3. Zoutanium
This is a really good race with three absolute winning chances and funnily enough they all sit on pace. I'm starting with this bloke who was really good to back in Sydney before being a little keen in a Group One in Queensland. I don't think he loved being back in the crowd that day so I am assuming the lead today like they did in Sydney. From that gate Newitt will go forward and be able to control the race, good or even a little toe in the ground won't be a concern, and I think he's the classes horse in a race where I do have three in the quaddie.
Race 7 | 1. Private Jumbo
He is by far the best horse in the race the ? is the trip. He didn't stuff around in front in a tougher racer Cranbourne last start, so if he's able to get a couple of soft splits today I'm confident he can run the distance. The good news is there isn't a huge amount of other speed in the race so he should be able to get over to the fence relatively comfortably. The track conditons won't be a concern at all and the jockey is riding really well. He might paddle late but if he runs it strong enough he'll beat these.
SANDOWN
Race 1 | 8. Missapprehend
Her run on debut in a highly rated race most certainly is great for this. Can half forget last start where she had no luck so I'm choosing to believe after her very nice trial since that she is the horse that they continue to back. She has finally drawn a nice gate so she should have a nice run in transit and up to the 1400m is something that will not worry her, in fact probably helps her find that winning form.
Race 3 | 8. Satin Diva
Big key here is the step back to the 1000m. The fact it is also easier than the two runs this prep helps as well! I think she will enjoy Sandown as well My concern here is the lack of obvious speed so McNeil will need to be proactive and go forward from the tricky gate. The race sets up similar to when she broke her maiden when going forward from a wide gate and I expect the same today. Open race with Expulsion the class runner but not sure 1000m is her jam so ill err on the side of the 1000m specialist in SD but make sure you follow Expulsion who will win next start up in distance and fitness.
Race 5 | 11. Sparkle Link
Getting back to a distance that suits and does that today third up where she has been successful before. She is quite adaptable so with the gate a little closer to the rail now with some exclusions, she can go forward if no major speed early. She has been back in both runs in similar grade at Geelong so neither race style would surprise. Williams goes back on which was a success last time she won. Scintillante is the danger and comes out of nice races. He hasn't won for a while but finds a race he will challenge in but I think he will be back and needing luck so I am with SL but I do have both in the quaddie.

SALE
Race 8 | 7. Diamond Gust
Had genuine excuses last start and can atone here. He’s a proven second-up performer who maps for a soft time of it on speed. In a sign of intent the blinkers go on first time and he’ll prove hard to run down in the last.
ROCKHAMPTON
Race 2 | 5. Obligated
Went to a new level last prep winning 4 races. Kicks off over the short trip and will have to overcome the wide draw but he’s the class horse in a small field and should prove too good for his rivals.
Race 9 | 4. Presszora
A winner of 5 from 6, draws to perfection, will lead and give a huge sight. We’re yet to see her ceiling and she can go on with it.
SANDOWN
Race 2 | 6. Per Favore
Raced three wide on debut and now gets the golden switch to an inside draw with Craig Williams aboard. Expecting significant improvement at his second career start, which should be enough to breakthrough today.
Race 4 | 13. Two Sigma
Drops in grade and weight, whilst rising in trip and drawing favourable barrier, this mare is set to run a career peak today. She made very good ground off a slow tempo last start when she ran the fastest L400m of the meeting. With even luck in run, she should prove too good for her rivals.
