Miles Pfitzner
Another day where we won’t be firing many bullets, looking for horses on speed at Tamworth. Warwick it’s a matter of finding the best horses in ordinary races. Will be suggesting playing savers if playing there.
TAMWORTH
Race 6 | 4. Blue De Beers
Race 8 | 3. Straand Care
WARWICK
Race 4 | 1. Yeah Buddy
Race 6 | 6. Je Reve
Cam Luke
KEMBLA GRANGE
Race 2 | 1. Marebello
Don’t go diving in at the $2.10 but he is the best horse in this race. Was decent last start when only just beat and staying at the Mile is an advantage. Heavy track a Q and he had a crack at it and was a long way off it on debut but that doesn’t major concern me. Best jockey in the race and wide draw (into 8) means a little luck is needed but if he gets it, he'll win! One out in the Early Quad!
Race 5 | 11. Hush Hush
Fairly decent maiden this even with the scratchings. This Filly was pretty good on debut on a Heavy Track and that is a great sign. Has trailed up well twice, particularly the most recent. Gate no issue as she drifts back and runs on and the smaller field helps anyway. Looks to have matured and come back better and that first run form should be enough for this.
Race 6 | 3. Equilibrist (each-way)
Finally strikes a heavy track and there is no doubt that will be beneficial to the form which we have seen be only meh so far this prep. Has found a little bit of trouble this print so you can find an excuse even though you'd want to see some more. I am sticking fat though as he needs as much cut out of the ground as possible and he finally gets it today. At $10 he is way over the odds with conditions to suit and a great each way play!
TAMWORTH
Race 4 | 5. Nomorenightshift
This is way easier than last start and in fact all prep where he has been decent. Stays at the 1600m after that first crack and I always enjoy that! Tainui from inside gate will ensure speed which should ensure pace and more of a chat for cover from tricky gate. Good track no dramas and only 4th up run was solid. Will take a mountain of beating!
WARWICK
Race 2 | 2. Sutherland
LOVES the track and Distance and only just got nosed out by Sir Carter last start and he went bang Sat on the Gold Coast. He is drawn perfectly to stalk the speed (unlike the fav who has a sticky gate). Loves the soft and the freshen up with a month between runs means no chance they will run him out his legs. 2kg off the back is a plus but he is a horse who can carry weight and I love that we are getting $5 because I really like him today!
Race 3 | 6. Ardouous (each-way)
This race is very skinny but even and I have liked this girls trials in prep to return. Her races last prep in NSW had a smidge more depth than this and the gate is a tad tricky she does have early gate speed so will help her find a spot. 1500 is a great kick off point and in an easier race and in a new stable clearly she will be ready to go and a great each way play at $8.
