TAREE
Race 3 | 1. Artie's Magic
This is a maiden that most certainly is not all that strong so this blokes form in his first prep certainly outshines anything else. He has trialled up well and there is a slight query first up over 1400m untested but he is drawn so perfectly and without a huge amount of pressure on paper he'll be able to find the fence very easy. Both trainer and jockey are very good and I expect this bloke to break his maiden today.
Race 7 | 2. Never Island
Back to the 1600m where she is at the best! Soft track a plus if we don’t get an upgrade. She was decent last start when she was back on trip. Sat box seat but got outsprinted by the leader off a five week break. Quicker turnaround and the 1600m works well today. Drawn a smidge tricky without massive speed on paper but hopefully Warrant and Good Karma fight for the lead. Claim works with Leanne Boyd knowing the horse well, so If she gets a backside she will be strong late and very hard to beat!
BATHURST
Race 1 | 1. Lucky Star
Was it too bad when given no hope in the market 1st up and the nice space between that run and the step up to the 1400m clearly works today. He's drawn so perfectly to meander to the front and control the race at whatever speed lever wants and I think that's the big advantage today. This isn't a race that has a huge amount of depth to it so as long he's a few lengths in front of the fav Sharbino I don’t think they'll catch him.
Race 4 | 6. Extraglow
Was pretty good first time at the track when annoyed early and had to work and ran out of steam late but very smart training as per from Bjorn Baker to have her again at the 1100m. There is no doubt the plan will be to jump and run and if she doesn't find the fence she'll sit OSL but she'll be on speed and almost certainly alone in front. This is a nice maiden but I think she is too classy and will be too hard to catch with race experience and extra fitness.
Race 5 | 8. Shaddup
I think the key here today is back to the 1100m an from that gate there will not be an excuse in the world for the distance. Again not a major amount of speed on paper Light Infantry is one who does go forward but fresh from a wide gate we shall see if that is the plan! Zac Wadick can park OSL or one out one back and with the horse having fitness and having won third up before, he will be mighty hard to beat!

Race 2 | 2. Xtreme
Former Vic horse that is first up for Snowden stable. Placed a couple of times in three career starts. Had drawn well and trialled up good enough to win this weak maiden first up. Good market support early too. Into $2.40.
BATHURST
Race 4 | 6. Extraglow
Pinged out very fast on debut and took up the running. Gave a kick up straight and looked home, but just fatigued late to get overrun into third. Will have taken enormous benefit and experience from that. Similar tactics today, and hopefully will hold on. $1.95.
DALBY
Race 1 | 7. Secret Cypher
Was good first up for new stable and will find this considerably easier. Will get back and be running on late, favourite is vulnerable in this grade. Happy to take $5 for a horse in a very good stable second up.
