Fresh off her mind-boggling Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) victory, Sheza Alibi has been confirmed to head to the paddock.

The star filly’s co-trainer Peter Moody confirmed on RSN’s Correct Weight that the three-year-old’s autumn is over, as she will be preparing for the Spring Racing Carnival.

“Yep, all over now, she’ll have a well-deserved break,” Katherine Coleman’s co-trainer confirmed.

“We’ve always had in our mind that it would be a very light autumn (for Sheza Alibi) because she had been in work a hell of a long time the previous year.

“And obviously she travelled the length and breadth of the country from Central Queensland to Rockhampton to Townsville then found herself all the way down in Melbourne through to Sandown Guineas Day.

“She only got about a 15, 16-day break post that to be ready for these races – that can be quite telling.”

Regarding which race will be the three-year-old's Grand Final in the spring, Moody is interested in running the daughter of the Saxon Warrior in the $10 million Golden Eagle (1500m).

“Let's hope we can spell her and bring her back in one piece and have a nice spring campaign,” Moody stated.

“That campaign would probably, at this point, be pointed towards the Golden Eagle.

“She'll resume in Melbourne or something. I haven't even thought to that stage yet.

“We’ll work our way towards maybe the Golden Eagle and then back to Melbourne for Champions Day.”

Sheza Alibi ends her autumn as one of the best, if not the best filly in Australia, and will look to come back with a bang in the spring.
