Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Saturday sorted on Trackside.

The lads have taken a close look at Flemington & Rosehill in a bid to find the family some winners.

See their best bets below:👇

Cam Luke

FLEMINGTON

Race 2 | 12. Somethings Burnin'

We've all seen the hard luck story last start but he's a big rangy bloke who's going to love Flemington. Harry Lime and Judas Tree are drawn wide will go early and ensure speed which will work for SB who will get back. He will love getting back to the 1400 (Only other time was in a good race) and being on top of the track will be beneficial. He will be looming late and be hard to hold out! Have a crack!

Race 3 | 3. Verzain (each-way)

Won a G3 in SA before the break and no doubt I think she is over the odds here. Has trialled well and looks to have developed even more. 1100 won't be an issue fresh. Is best ridden patient so not 100% the gate will work down the straight but she loves the good track and will be in the finish with some luck.

Race 5 | 6. Shockletz

She clearly ran last start like she needs 2500m and she gets it today. She gets the blinkers on from a really nice gate and I think she'll be closer to the front than the back and that will be an advantage. The stable is great at having these horses peak for particular races and it feels like this for her today. HC rides her best and she enjoys Flemington. I like her a lot today.

Race 8 | 8. Autumn Boy (each-way)

I'd be stunned if Sheza Alibi doesn’t win but $1.50 is poison. This bloke ran just ok in the Memsie but he is a big boy and had zero room a couple times when trying to build momentum on the corner and then when trying to hit the line. He will enjoy Flemington and the step to the Mile. He enoys being on top of the ground and he gets that here. Drawn inside again but they won't go anywhere near as slow and that will suit him. I really like him as a place bet!

Race 10 | 13. Storm Leopard

He did have a favour or two resuming but I thought it was a really good run for a horse that needs more distance. Good track is a plus and even from that tricky gate Craig Williams will push forward and make sure he's very proactive early. He one second up in that first prep and he only got better after that. All his runs in good races including at Group 1 we're brilliant and he looks like he's come back even better. He is well weighted and he is my best at HQ today.

ROSEHILL

Race 2 | 4. Heroic Deed

Really progressive horse who gets an opportunity today in tougher class but I think is heading in the right direction to be able to handle it. The stablemate is the danger and will control the race but that means the speed will be enough for this bloke to be able to find a backside. Stays at the 1200 tick, good track for first time but think he will enjoy it a lot and third up is perfect for peak fitness. Always tread warily in Midway's but this bloke will be very hard to beat!

Race 3 | 7. Seo Linn

Remember we backed her last start at 100 to 1 and she ran really well getting up to 2400. That's more of her talent and again she's so well weighted she puts herself in the frame again (albeit at a much shorter price) Good track is a win and will run very well again. The fave is talented but eems a grinder and can't have it that short. Don't be silly but have a small bet on SL as I think again she will run very well.

Race 4 | 8. Savisanta

This is a horse who clearly needs more ground deeper into the prep but I thought it was actually not too bad first up way short of its favourite distance in a race shape that didn't suit. Goes up a bit in trip, second up most certainly works for it and being on top of the ground is its favourite conditions. Not a huge amount of speed which might work against him but does have the perfect gate and a great speed map. Great each way play!

Race 5 | 7. Chispa

Hasn't been asked to do a huge amount in a couple of trials but she is a nice mare who ran well in Group races as a 3YO. Her QLD Oaks run was pretty decent and she has that residual fitness. She is best on top of the ground and JMac on works. Really nice drawn to sit 3 pairs back and with a little luck she will be very hard to beat first up!

Race 6 | 2. Stormy Marco

Didn’t have a huge amount of luck in QLD but still ran really well in a G1. Drawn perfectly today to have run of the race and with that residual fitness the 1400 metres is perfect. I do think he's a Miler who will appreciate even getting further but it was on the back of Tron Bolt in the JJ and that's good enough form for this even though it is a nicely deep race. He will be very hard to beat!

Race 8 | 11. Central Europe

I really like him for the GR and today is that stepping stone. He was pretty good 1st up over 1100 and the step to six furlongs is a major step. He has run of the race from the gate and that’s key in the deep race. He will also be on the fence which will allow ZL to use the lanes that will be advantaged. He has always ran well but he is still a Maiden so he needs to knock one of these over and I think today is it. Best of the Day in Sydney.

David Taggart

FLEMINGTON

Race 2 | 3. Unit Five

Was huge first up just missing American Eagle smashing the rest by well over 2.5L. First time at 1400 which is less worrying than the barrier as he draws 13. Is he just going to be too good for them?

Race 3 | 1. Streisand (BEST)

Nearly completed the Diamond-Slipper double but a class one runner is fav? She is ready to go and she will go close as she’s the best filly in the race.

Race 5 | 2. Litzdeel

Straight to 2500m after getting beat by Saint George last start. Ticks many boxes here, third up form hasn’t missed a place, Flemington runs never missed top 2 and is 1/1 over the trip. She can win.

Race 6 | 1. Cafe Millenium (value)

Always takes a run and is a better horse second up. His Flemington record is very good and this is his pet trip. Draws sticky but will get back and watch for him late especially if the pace is on. Good each-way play.

ROSEHILL

Race 5 | 3. Mr Verse

Hits this third-up where he has form and he is wanting this trip. He won’t get as far back in the run like he can as he should make use of his inside draw. Is in the market in a much harder race at Flemington where he’s an emergency.

Race 6 | 9. Genesis Runner

Comes out of the right race for this first-up. Had every chance first up box seating and just couldn’t pick up the leader in Plagiarism. Draws perfect again and he should be going close.
