Too good at Randwick last start. Looks the one to beat at the trip.

Knocking on the door with four seconds in a row. Can win.

So close to winning first-up and now James McDonald hops on board. The one to beat.

Drawn well in 3 and presents as the main danger to the favourite. Saver.

Improved run when third to Anthracite last time. Has the ability to run well at $20-plus.

Impressive win first-up. Progressive and comfortably lands on top.

Strong each-way chance that could spoil the party if at his best.

Race 6 – Heritage Stakes (G3) - 1100m

Unbeaten colt who gets James McDonald in the saddle. The main danger to the odds-on favourite, Blue Door.

Best value: Our Emperor

Waterhouse/Bott colt who won his only start to date. Each-way play.

Best roughie: Ciaron’s Star

Was thereabouts at G2 and G3 level last prep. Can figure.

Race 7 – Golden Pendant (G2) - 1400m

Winner: Lazzura

Loomed first-up but couldn’t reel in Savvy Hallie and Gangsta Granny. Three wins from five second-up runs.

Fitter now and out to 1400m is a plus. Palatable each-way odds.

Best roughie: Verona Rose

Ran third behind Skyhook first-up. Capable of a big run at double figure odds.

Winner: Guest House

Golden Slipper winner who maps well from barrier 5. Was huge in winning on resumption. The one they have to beat.

Clear danger to the favourite. Can back both for a result.

Can improve at longer odds after a so-so first-up run.

Race 9 – Shannon Stakes (G2) - 1500m

Dazzling winner first run back from a spell. Rates among the better chances on the card.

Class runner whose best could win this.

Perfect draw (1) for an on-pacer. Should jump, lead, run and be tough to get past. Each-way.

The map horse who can tuck in behind the speed. Was thereabouts last prep. Represents decent value.

Consistent mare who is never far away.

Not often you get James McDonald riding an outsider in the last in Sydney. Group 3 winner now with Chris Waller.

Race 1 – Brian Kruger Handicap (3YO Quality) - 1100m

Winner: Tales of Time

Impressive last-start winner. Ben Melham sticks, has a stack of ability and is the on they have to beat.

Blake Shinn and soft barrier (2). Strong each-way chance.

Best roughie: Smoky Kitchen

Winner on debut who gets the Jabez Johnstone claim and can run well at nice odds.

Race 2 – Jim Moloney Stakes (Listed) - 1440m

Winner: Pretty Baby

Won impressively at Sandown to make it four wins in a row. Will take a decent horse to beat her.

Best value: Platinum Pearl

James McDonald takes the ride for Ciaron Maher. Was close to breaking her maiden at Seymour last time out.

Best roughie: Rubi’s Choice

Blake Shinn on and can improve at longer odds if her debut win is anything to go by.

Race 3 – JRA Cup (G3) - 2000m

Winner: Future History

Ben Melham rides and has drawn a soft barrier (1). Ran well behind St Lawrence at Flemington last time. Can improve.

Class edge and should be fit now. Very strong each-way chance.

Best roughie: Sapphire Siren

Takes a giant leap in class but should appreciate the distance rise.

Race 4 – Scarborough Stakes (G3) - 1200m

Winner: Chayan

Group 2 winner with James McDonald on top. Can improve massively on first-up run.

Consistent recent form including runner-up here behind Natural Fling two back. Strong each-way chance.

Tested Tales Of Time who is favourite in Race 1. Can figure.

Her best wins this. Can control the small field and will prove hard to get past.

Old warhorse who was as tough as they get first-up before he was plain in the Makybe Diva. Craig Williams back on is a plus.

Hard to ignore his run behind Sheza Alibi. Knockout hope.

So unlucky behind Lara Antipova last time. His only win came over a mile. Maps perfectly.

Race 7 – Stocks Stakes (G2) - 1600m

Winner: Changing Colours

Chasing four in a row. Has a nice mile record (4:2-2-0) and can overcome wide draw.

Consistent mare who can find then line. Each-way chance.

Wasn’t too bad first-up when a lengthy off Puglia here over 1400m. Value hope.

Last-start Memsie winner who was so dominant over 1400m. Drops back to 1200m, which is a small query, but still Looks the one to beat.

Proven at the top level. Wasn’t suited first-up over 1000m. Loves Caulfield.

Best roughie: Napoleonic

Knocking on the door. Capable of running in the top 3 at each-way odds.

Hard to ignore recent form. Steps up in class but capable type.

Races pretty well fresh without winning. Is consistent over the mile without winning. A calculated throw at the stumps.
