New Zealand form analyst Jayne Ivil has given her best bets for racing in NZ this Wednesday.

On SENTrack & RSN's Giddy Up, Ivil gave her thoughts on the Woodville meeting.

Race 2 Maiden 1200m

Top 4: 5 - 10 - 2 - 3

Wave On By has trialled nicely ahead of his debut, picking up a couple of wins. He shows good speed from the barriers, and the clock has also supported what he has shown visibly. Lisa Allpress has been on board for all his education, and she sticks with the son of US Navy Flag here. La Chica Bella has the advantage of both fitness and experience on her side. She finished a very competitive 4th last start in a blanket finish where only 1/2 length separated the first four. She is building nicely towards a win.

Race 3 Maiden 3YO 1200m

Top 4: 10 - 3 - 8 - 4

Elegante settled in the second half of the field on debut but travelled well over the 1200 trip, she navigated a run wide in the home straight and didn’t get clear until the 300m, finding the line strongly 2 lengths from the winner. This looks a weaker field that what she faced on debut and she gets the advantage of leading jockey Michael McNab in the saddle. Thunder Squirrel was put aside after finishing 5th on debut, that maiden has already produced a winner and two stakes place getters. He has trialled well smartly in preparation for this.

Race 4 Rating 75 2100m

Top 4: 4 - 7 - 6 - 3

Hi Yo Fox Rox rises in distance here and comes back in grade, both will aid his chances. He was a winner two back over 2000m and looks suited to getting back up to 10 furlongs after a run inbetween at a mile. He has shown versatiltiy in running and will settle wherever he finds himself from the draw. Ryders Legacy won 2 back at 1800m and also stepped back in trip last start and was beaten less than a length. The rise in distance is a postive and he will have tactical advantage over Hi Yo Fox Rox.
