Race 1 – Beverly Handicap (BM80) - 700m
Winner: In’Kantosstar (9)
Happy to stick with him at around $4.20 after three straight wins. Progressive, well drawn and Ethan Brown sticks. The market hasn’t fully respected him yet given the dominance of his wins.
Best value: Just Desserts (10)
Looks the best each-way play. Soft barrier and solid form.
Best roughie: Emperor Tzu (3)
In winning form and has been doing it in style. Can win.
Top 4: 9, 10, 6, 3
Summary: Veyepee is a legitimate favourite and will be hard to beat, but at $2.80 I’m not chasing. Happy to take on the short favourite with In’Kantosstar and Just Desserts.
Race 2 – Thoroughbred Club of Australia Plate (3YOF) - 1200m
Winner: Sequinned (5)
James McDonald takes the ride. Banking on her bouncing back from her fifth in the Tea Rose. Price is fair.
Best value: Gas Station Rose (8)
Steps up in class, but Craig Williams jumps on and makes appeal as an each-way play.
Best roughie: Superbec (7)
Broke her maiden last time at Ballarat and ready to go on with it.
Top 4: 5, 8, 7, 2
Summary: Sequinned is a solid favourite and deservedly so. Happy to stick with her and use Gas Station Rose + Superbec for value.
Race 3 – Evergreen Turf Vase (G3) - 1600m
Winner: On Display (5)
Looked the winner last start when swamped by Pondalowie and Too Darn Discreet. Classy mare who is capable of winning this.
Best value: Perfect Ten (8)
As consistent as they come. Craig Williams back int he saddle which is a plus. Up in class but can figure.
Best roughie: Astral Flame (6)
Has placed twice first-up and races well at the trip.
Top 4: 5, 8, 6, 1
Summary: On Display can win, Perfect Ten at $9-plus represents value.
Race 4 – Sportsbet Herbert Power Stakes (G2) - 2400m
Winner: Future History (3)
Ben Melham sticks and drawn well (3). Looks the most reliable in a tricky staying race. On-pace runner who was good last start against Royal Supremacy.
Best value: Shockletz (14)
Impressive winner of the G3 Archer Stakes. Fit and can figure over 2400m.
Best roughie: Machine Gun Gracie (9)
Appeals each-way as a galloper who races near the speed. Drawn wide but can offset that.
Top 4: 3, 12, 14, 9
Summary: Pinhole down from Sydney for McDonald/Waller combo is a fair favourite, but happy to take him on with Future History as an each-way special.
Race 5 – Northwood Plume Stakes (G3) - 1200m
Winner: Bridal Waltz (7)
Happy to stick despite the defeat to Point Barrow last time out. Price is short but fair. Can control the race from a handy draw (4).
Best value: Naifah (4)
Races well first-up, gets Blake Sinn and is the best value play at around $10.
Best roughie: Abounding (1)
James McDonald is an interesting booking. Races well over 1400m and creates appeal at a nice price.
Top 4: 7, 2, 4, 1
Summary: Bridal Waltz and Point Barrow dominate the market and both have strong claims. Happy to stick with Bridal Waltz on top and look for value further down with Naifah and Abounding.
Race 6 – Henley Homes Schillaci Stakes (G2) - 1100m
Winner: Jigsaw (1)
Perfect barrier and Logan Bates knows him well. Short but hard to oppose. Still the one after seven wins in a row.
Best value: Rey Magnerio (2)
William Pike rides and still the best each-way option who should be finishing hard.
Best roughie: Inkaruna (7)
Third behind Point Barrow and Bridal Waltz last start. Can figure here based on that run.
Top 4: 1, 2, 8, 7
Summary: Jigsaw is a solid favourite. Happy to stick with him and use Rey Magnerio as a saver and Inkaruna as value.
Race 7 – Might And Power (G1) - 2000m
Winner: Sheza Alibi (6)
Still the clear standout on class and form. Extremely short, but very hard to go against.
Best value: Birdman (1)
Only real danger to Sheza Alibi. The most likely horse who can upset the hot favourite.
Best roughie: Treasurethe Moment (5)
Was good behind Pride Of Jenni in the Feehan. A great chance to run top two or three.
Top 4: 6, 1, 5, 4
Summary: Sheza Alibi is a very short favourite and looks the winner. Treasurethe Moment, Birdman and Kingswood the trifecta and first four horses.
Race 8 – Caulfield Guineas (G1) - 1600m
Winner: Warwoven (2)
Still the one to beat. Dominant Golden Rose form which always translates well to the Guineas.
Best value: Blind Raise (5)

Best roughie: Call Me Coach (11)
Comes out of a Cranbourne BM 66 but could be the X-factor runner.

Race 9 – Toorak Handicap (G1) - 1600m

Wasn’t too bad in the Sir Ruopert Clarke when fourth behind Angel Capital. James McDonald knows her well. Good price in an open race.

Gets her Group 1 chance for Lucy Yeomans and Luke Cartwright. Carries only 52kg and has won four on the trot.
Best roughie: Salty Pearl (15)
Down in the weights, Craig Williams rides, has won third-up and likes Caulfield.
Top 4: 2, 13, 6, 15
Summary: Nice open G1. Lady Shenandoah is a fair favourite at $6. Happy to stick with her and use light weight hopes Changing Colours and Salty Pearl as value runners.

Close up last time out. Ben Allen rides, likes the track and distance, and looks the one in an open race.
Best value: Steparty (5)
Very appealing each-way hope who races well fresh and loves Caulfield.
Best roughie: Fireball Miss (9)
Soft barrier and has residual fitness form Queensland winter racing. Likes it longer but can finish off strongly for a place.

Rosehill
Race 1 – Midway (BM72) - 1400m
Winner: Miss Spacegirl (2)
Solid recent form and the market has her right in the mix. Looks the one to beat. Newly-minted G1 winner Siena Grima’s claim creates a very manageable weight.
Best value: Alabama State (4)
Handy draw (6). Competitive rating for a Midway and maps well. Solid each-way appeal at $5+.
Best roughie: Magical Moments (7)
Enters this after running a narrow second to Unstopabull at Canterbury. Capable of a big run at double-figure odds.
Top 4: 2, 4, 1, 7
Summary: Miss Spacegirl is a fair favourite and gets the nod. Ready to win. Alabama State main danger at his best, while Magical Moments represents value. Throw Call Me Sassy into exotics.
Race 2 – TAB Highway (C3) - 1500m
Winner: Ocean Tsunami (5)
Well drawn (1) and a handy claim for Izzy Neale (3kg) make her very hard to beat. Consistent mare who heads the market and rightly so.
Best value: Costalivin (13)
Tim Clark rides for Matthew Dale. Drawn well (3), progressive and maps perfectly — excellent each-way chance.
Best roughie: Magic Merlin (4)
Three wins from last four starts is strong form to run well at double figures.
Top 4: 5, 13, 14, 4
Summary: Ocean Tsunami from the inside lands on top in a wide open affair. Costalivin can also win while Street Force is the other main danger. Magic Merlin is the pick of the longer shots.

Winner: Barrengarry (9)
