See their best bets below:
Jayne Ivil
Ellerslie
Race 1 - BM65 1200m
7 - 3 - 1 - 2
Convinced lines up in a fresh state for a new stable, after two preparatory trials, winning the most recent in good time. The four-year-old Super Seth mare won well over 1200m on debut, before lining up at Stakes level second up finishing 3 length off Belle Cheval (subsequent G1 Vinery Stud Stakes winner), she then contested a NZB Kiwi prior to a second place behind Chatelle Rose, who will be prominent in today’s Group 3 sprint. Her CV reads well for this type of contest. Centurial was a smart fresh up winner, gets favours from the draw and can go on with it. Los Santos deserves a victory after 4 placings in his last 4 outings, blinkers go on.
Race 7 G3 Sweynesse Stakes 1215m
1 - 9 - 6 - 2
Platinum Attack comes back to a preferred trip after a fresh-up run at 1400m in the Group 1 Proisir Plate behind Well Written. He raced in a fresh state and was keen in the early stages, the faster tempo of the 1200m suits this gelding and five of his 8 race day wins have been at this trip. He is a proven open class sprinter and brings superior figures into this. Chatelle Rose is unbeaten this preparation and has worked well through the grades. She was an impressive last start winner in open company and deserves a chance to compete at stakes level.
Otaki
Race 1 Maiden 1400m
11 - 12 - 1 - 2
Magnate debuted at Ellerslie in a strong 3YO field and didn’t get much luck. From a wide barrier he was hampered at the jump and settled at the rear of the field, his rider elected to ride for luck, and he didn’t see much clear air in the home straight. He should improve from the race day experience and an inside barrier draw should see him having a good run in transit. Aim To Miss is improving with each start, she closed off well last start at Waverley posting the quickest last 600m of the race, third up and up in trip are positives.
