Alex Ashwood is set to be the latest Victorian trainer-driver to send a team to Queensland ahead of the Constellation series.
The 30-year-old is hoping he can fill the float with Group-1 winner and 2022 Inter Dominion trotting finalist, Parisian Artiste.
"He trialed pretty nicely on Tuesday (June 25th), his last 600 (meters) was pretty impressive and he was building up through the gears very nicely," Ashwood said.
"He will trial again on Monday night at Bendigo and that will be his last trial, before we try and find a race and if everything goes well, we might go to Menangle on the 13th of July, before Queensland."
Ashwood is hopeful to take a number of horses to the Sunshine state.
"We would like to take Thesunandthemoon, Bella Danza and maybe Major Fire," he said.
Thesunandthemoon has saluted in her last three starts including the Australian Pacing Gold Pace at Melton.
The filly out of Snug Harbor has won six races and featured in the placings on four occasions in her 11 starts in 2024.
Ashwood has had 73 wins this season as a trainer and driver.
