Laura Wilson has assembled an army of three for tonight’s Always B Miki Vicbred Super Series fifth heat for two-year-old colts and geldings.
The Byrneside horsewoman will prepare Alot Like Pendles, Calexico and Yankee Captain for the $10,000 qualifier.
Alot Like Pendles has drawn two with John Caldow booked to drive.
"The two trials that he has had were terrific, but his first two starts have been disappointing and we might try and drive him a bit different tonight," Laura Wilson said.
Calexico has had one start for one win and looks the best chance for the Wilson stable with Laura's husband Damien set to drive.
"He is a very nice horse," she said. "Not sure what will happen with him early, but he is the main chance."
The 40-year-old Wilson will steer Yankee Captain, who has drawn gate 10 for the 2150m event.
"He was just thrown in the deep-end a little bit. He had his first start last week and he will probably just get a bit of experience," she said.
"I didn't drive him last week. I can just stay out the back and out of trouble and just get a feel of him at the races. He isn't at 100 per cent as a two-year-old and I think he will be better later on."
Qualifiers from the Vicbred Super Series heats move through to semi-finals on September 7 before Group 1 showdowns on September 14 at Melton Entertainment Park.
