RACE 1 - EQUINE ART (7) debuts for the sharp Vandyke barn. Comfortably beat three stablemates in a recent trial and 32% stable striker Maloney sticks from that. Maps for a soft run and the Exceed And Excel filly can race boldly. CLIODHNA MAEVE (6) is a former Kiwi resuming for the Shailer yard. She showed plenty in her NZ starts heavily bet on wet tracks. The narrow defeat on debut was the best. She will be naturally improved and draws to advantage. GLOWLIGHT (2) switched from a Victorian yard and didn't have the best of it at Ipswich first-up. She has pieces of provincial and metro form good enough. Maps for a soft run and has the handy 2kg claim. Ftter and placed at Ballarat as favourite her only second-up outing. Gollan-trained MEHRETU (10) had good support but not much luck at Ipswich on debut. Craig Williams stays aboard and a much better run is anticipated.

RACE 2 - Gollan-trained PERIGEAN (7) peaks off three placings at Ipswich. He races forward and at his most recent outing was grabbed late as a short-priced favourite. Draws an inside gate and the blinkers go back on. Has a handy claim and is the one to beat. STEEL KING (9) is a former Victorian resuming for the Lockwood yard. He's lightly raced and owns a trial win at this track over 840m. Finds easier company and his effort at Moonee Valley on debut stacks right up. CHABOOM (3) debuts for the Heathcote barn and has been well-trialled. Won his latest here by a space and should be advantaged by the inside draw. Has the blinkers applied and a bold effort is anticipated. EVERSTAR (5) debuts and has trialled well and also deserves consideration.

RACE 3 - Tricky. HELL MARCH (4) led from the outside gate at the Sunshine Coast on debut a beaten 1.8L behind Peace Centre. Strips fitter and jump from the inside barrier today. Orman sticking aboard is a decent push for his prospects and he can go one better. SAVOUR THE DREAM (6) debuts for the Laming yard and has had a soft trial. Draws an inside barrier and profiles well. The colt has been fancied since market opening and a bold effort is on the cards. THE HAMO (7) is third-up and much better than his two runs this preparation suggest. He's delivered a big trial win here since his last run 18 days ago and can get back on track. NOVEMBER SUN (11) debuts for Matt Dunn and has trialled well. Looks to have good ability but has an awkward gate to contend with.

RACE 4 - TOROVISTA (2) resumed much improved winning at the Sunshine Coast and has gone close the two since at Eagle Farm and Scone over a mile. Comes back in grade and is ready for the step up to the middle distance. Races forward and should get every chance. ANEMACORE (1) is also a lightly-raced improver. He was cruelled by the wide barrier when beaten 2L here last time over the mile and has more to give over the longer distance. Tougher sorting the rest. Waller-trained KINGFIELD (8) is lightly-raced and presents off a Maiden win at this track and trip. It was a big effort second up and Orman sticks aboard. He's sure to keep improving. Stablemate MISS BRITTANY (12) also has plenty of upward scope. A top Melbourne hoop is booked.

RACE 5 - Gollan-trained INVINCIBLE SHIELD (7) switched from a Victorian barn and belted the Maidens here first-up heavily bet. Brought strong figures from the Group 2 Stutt Stakes at Moonee Valley and is still shy of that peak. He may ride the speed again and Craig William stays with the well-bred colt. Fitter and can take the next step. RIMBAUD (9) won big at Ipswich first-up. He'd switched from Neasham's Sydney yard and has been saved for this. Maps for the run of the race and will get every chance to go back-to-back. DESERT KOBY (3) is a leader who seeks the hat trick off easy wins in the country. No knock on those and he keeps improving. Is sure to give a sight. Edmonds-trained GREYZOUS (6) won this grade on the synthetic first up and then didn't have the best of it at Listed level at Scone. She also contested at Listed level before the spell so they must have an opinion. Third-up and has been kept on the fresh side. Goes in at a price.

RACE 6 - JUNGLE PRINCE (1) was outgraded in a Group 3 here first-up and then quickly found form narrowly beaten here over 1350m as favourite. Has an inside gate, the top hoop and the step-up to the mile suits. The one they have to beat. NEW LEVEL (2) finished a whisker behind the above in the same contest spiking his figures. He has a handy barrier and Maloney takes over. Just has to run out a strong 1650m to feature. Tougher sorting the remainder. ALREADY BETTER (4) peaks for Neasham off a Maiden win at Gatton. This is a step up but the extra metres will suit and it's hard to risk the barn. A DIME APPROACH (7) has more to give off the nose defeat at Warwick over 1500m. Waller-trained PROSPERINA (10) is up to this at best and can show more over this distance.

RACE 7 - Gollan-trained RISING PACIFIC (6) spiked his figures again when narrowly beaten in an Eagle Farm 78. He was expected to win here following but was plain (vet cleared). Best to treat that as an anomaly. Orman is reunited today and will navigate from the inside barrier. He's the one to beat. BETTCHA THE CROWN (3) has been racing well without winning. Drops back a level today and maps for a soft run. A live chance. POETIC DRAMA (5) gave away a big start beaten 1.5L in the Listed Silk Stocking at the Sunshine Coast and then held that figure unplaced in a Group 3 here. Drawn low can sit handy and she benefits from a 1.5kg claim. TWIGMAN (13) is going well and has more to give. Maps for the run of the race.

RACE 8 - A & S Freedman-trained PUNCH LANE (13) brought compelling form from Victoria when beaten 2L here first up at this level. He's proven second-up and Craig Williams is a key jockey switch. Has the best peak figures and just needs some luck navigating from the awkward barrier. SWISS EXILE (5) continues to race well without winning. Orman is a positive jockey booking and would be a threat finding his best. He's also in a sharp metro barn and can show more. SAILOR'S SECRET (9) is a well-performed galloper who was beaten 2L in the Punch Lane race first up. He will be better for that and Byrne replaces the apprentice. SIR WARWICK (10) won the rich Fitzroy Open at Ipswich three back. Keeps Rodd and can use the inside barrier to his advantage. Can't be ruled out.

RACE 9 - Tough with six emergencies confusing the picture. BLAKMAX (4) is in the premier barn and will get a start. Peaks today and has been racing in stronger. 2x winning rider Maloney is reunited and he should be ready to show his best. ALLEZ ZOU (11) ran his best race narrowly beaten at Ipswich. Draws wide but will be fitter and has scope for further improvement. MAGIC IN ME (8) didn't miss a beat winning a 75 at Toowoomba first-up. He races handy and has been kept on the fresh side. Has more to give and is a hope. HURTS SO GOOD (18) spiked his figures easily winning a CL1 at Ipswich. Keeps Orman and has weight relief in stronger. No certainty to make the field but he's in the right barn and rates a chance if he does.
