RACE 1 - RICH GLOW (3) was building nicely before disappointing when heavily bet (vet cleared). The former Victorian draws awkwardly but finds the right race and fitter he can get back on track. CAPTAIN CAM (1) resumes and is one of four acceptors from the Blacker yard. His latest trial was sharp and he maps for a soft run. Has the ability and Newitt is a key jockey booking. Stablemate SHE PLAYS GAMES (8) has been around the mark on the turf at Hobart. She would be in the finish at best and Carr is a positive jockey switch replacing the apprentice. STAY TONIGHT (9) next best.

RACE 2 - GEEGEES LEGACY (12) resumed from a spell and did well to place second of 11 over today's distance at this track last start after getting checked at the start and then carted wide with 600m to run. Deservers a winning run having placed second in all of his last four starts and jumping in a fitter state should get the job done. OUT OF THE SPHERE (14) on the back of having won two trials at this track was sent out as the favourite last start when on debut. With racing experience now behind him is worth another chance. LIGHTMEUPJAZZ (8) disappointed last time out as the favourite when after racing in behind the speed failed to run on, finishing fourth of 10 at this track over today's distance. Has a horror draw to overcome but is better than that last run would suggest and can atone. ENSIGN EAGLE (2) next best.

RACE 3 - BRAZEN IMPACT (2) completed a hat-trick when leading all of the way at this track and distance last time out, winning easily. In his current form rates well as the leading chance. SUGOI LEGEND (4) raced up on the speed and fought hard to the line but found one better on the day, when finishing second of 11 over 1880m at this track last start. He won't have to improve much on that last start run to take this race out. WELDBOROUGH (3) sat up on the speed last start and after finding the lead into the turn went on to score over 1880m at this track, beating the above selection. Racing in solid form and he looks well placed to finish in the money. CARNEROS (1) was slowly away and settled well back in the running last start over 1350m at this track, then stormed home from last at the turn to finish third of nine when well supported. Racing over a longer trip today rates well as an each-way chance.

RACE 4 - RUBICK'S AFFAIR (7) was unlucky not to have broken through last preparation and delivered the Maiden on resumption heavily bet. Had come off a long break and is sure to have come on. The longer sprint should suit and he can win this and go on with it. TURK BOY (2) resumed and Hobart this grade and just missed He draws low and maps for a soft run. Fitter and should go close. BOUNTY BAY (10) resumes and is up to this if presented forward. Not sure the inside gate will suit but no surprise to see her hitting the line. Newitt goes aboard ROCKIERRO (4) who is sure to show more second-up. He will push forward and should be around the mark.

RACE 5 - Competitive and most of the better chances draw out. GARCON D'ESPOIR (11) won the Open 2 at Launceston and then improved again finding one better at Hobart in the same grade. He's trialled here since and has more to offer. Has the outside gate but has early speed and is a chance over the longer trip with average luck. ES AND ES (1) peaks and has placed on the turf his last two. Has an awkward gate but should be in the finish. MISS VIVACE (6) also needs a good ride but impressed winning her Maiden by a space. Deserved that and may go on with it now. PEPPARONI (8) is racing well and is also a hope.

RACE 6 - VOKES (4) is a leader drawn the rail. Was narrowly beaten first up and missed by the same margin after in stronger than this. He's won a trial here since and fitter she is sure to take catching. CHAMPAGNE CINDERS (7) led and won the 60 and then held that figure narrowly beaten in a 62 after off a wide gate. Draws inside today and has been kept on the fresh side. A chance to bounce. ALPINE AVIATOR (6) missed a nose in the same race spiking his figures. Has trialled well since and he races at peak fitness. GEEGEES MISTY (5) resumes and is proven fresh. She brings a 60 win from the turf and should find cover. In the mix.

RACE 7 - A good race. SEYDOUX (4) has won his last three comfortably heavily bet. They stack right up and she tumbles in weight at this level. She races forward and can keep the ball rolling. Listed winner TURK WARRIOR (1) resumes and she's potent fresh and over this distance. Won his only start here and owns a recent trial win. Uses the low barrier and is a live chance. Listed winner ALPINE WOLF (2) resumes and is proven fresh and has won 3/3 this track/ distance. A hope as well. ARUMA (5) also resumes and the rails gate will advantage. Has won fresh and Newitt stays aboard. Has to be considered as well.

RACE 8 - CAPITAL CHEVAL (3) was plain at Hobart two back as favourite but the form there each side of that reads well. Peaks and has his first run on this surface. He can manage and draws to advantage. LILY LUELLA (6) raced forward and just missed in the same contest. Draws awkwardly but has a key jockey switch to Newitt and will also present at peak fitness. BANKROLLBENNY (1) got too far back here last time in stronger but brought good form to that. Has his first start over a mile but will race handy and get every chance to run it out. EXALTED CROWN (5) will be fitter and gets in well with the 3kg claim. Has placed 4/5 third up and is in the mix.

RACE 9 - GALLANT WARRIORS (1) brings a string of narrow losses in stronger class. Has more weight but benefits today from a 3kg claim. Suited and has been kept on the fresh side. BAO BUN (8) seeks that hat trick and is still on an upward trajectory. She's suited again and with average luck can keep the ball rolling. CORNELIAN BAY (2) resumed with a near miss further improved and was nudged out again following that in stronger than this. She's a hope with the extra fitness but will need luck from the outside barrier. Can also make a smaller case for THOROS OF MYR (7) on best efforts. Keep safe.
