RACE 1 - A small field to get things underway. PARORI (3) couldn't have been more impressive when putting her rivals to the sword over this course and distance a fortnight ago. The 5.4L margin far outweighs any sort of weight swing in this event, and she's still lightly raced with just 7 starts to her name. She just has to run up to what she did last start to score again. CELESTIAL FOX (4) brings a different formline into the event having been beaten 1.6L over this track and trip last week. Her latest efforts have been good and she should take up a stalking role from gate 4. Can land the knockout blow. BAALBEK (2) chased in vain behind Parori last start but should strip fitter now third-up into the campaign. Can sit outside the leader and apply the pressure from a long way out.

RACE 2 - BIG PLAYER (1) jumped favourite on resumption and found one better on the day, beaten 1.2L. This looks to set up similarly, though he does strip fitter for that fresh performance and he has plenty of ratings better than what he produced first-up. Can improve and shed the maiden tag. AWEEMAWAY (3) is a lightly raced galloper who wasn't far away last start over 1100m. Beaten just 0.6L there, he steps out to this trip for the first time and is on the quick turnaround. Can be prominent in the run once more and is sure to take beating again. BAD BOY BU (2) is better than he showed last start when beaten 4.6L and is a better horse when he can find the front which he may be able to do today. He's had a few bites of the cherry now, but his best is good enough to see him right in the finish. SOCKEYE (4) can build on what she did last start despite jumping 40-1.

RACE 3 - UNLIKELY HERO (2) probably didn't handle the step out to the mile last start and drops back to a trip where he's placed 3/4. Should be nearing his top third-up into the campaign and a return to his best form would see him hard to beat. LET SPARKS FLY (9) will put up a good challenge though following a 2.9L defeat here as favourite a week ago. He led on that occasion and I suspect the stable will look to ride him with cover this time as per his previous events. Winkers go on now too and sharp improvement is expected. EDWARD'S CHOICE (1) has had a few goes now, but he turned in a solid effort over this course and distance three starts back. That rating stacks up nicely in this field and Cooper's 3kg claim comes in handy. His best would see him go close. YAKYAK (7) hasn't been far away of late and can put herself in contention once again.

RACE 4 - SECRET ATTIRE (3) has been good since coming to Kal this campaign, just missing last start following a strong maiden victory two stats back. Faithfull hopping back in the saddle is a positive sign as she strikes at 21% when riding for Fernie. Can go one better this time around. TWIST OF GOLD (4) tired last start in the same race as Secret Attire after leading them up in running. She has the pace to get across from a wide alley and if she's able to get things her own way up front, she'll be very hard to run down. ELUSIVE DREAM (1) shed the maiden tag in good style last start when running over the top and powering away to score by 1.2L. He can find a similar position from the draw this time and he's nicely placed after Cooper's 3kg claim. Can be in the finish if he runs up to his last start figures. LOOPY'S BABY (5) is better than she showed last start and can bounce back.

RACE 5 - ONEMOREFORLEO (2) has been a force to be reckoned with in recent efforts, just missing over 1400m last time out. He's back a further 100m in trip today, though it's hard to knock his recent form and plenty of winners are coming out from behind him. Can win again today. DANCE OF THUNDER (1) finished behind Onemoreforleo last start when 1.5L off the winner. Faithfull takes the reins now though and she's in hot form of late. Can put his best foot forward and give the top pick something to think about again. PASSION PRINCE (3) resumes off a 221-day spell and will be fitter for a recent Lark Hill trial. He was very competitive around this course at the end of last campaign before a disappointing run at Ascot to end the preparation. He's a first-up winner previously and he won't be far away if he's up to the mark fresh. SYMPHONY IN RED (10) was an impressive winner last start and the rise in trip looks to suit. Can go on with the job.

RACE 6 - TOWN HALL (10) boasts a strong record over this course and distance and wasn't far away over 1300m a fortnight ago, beaten under a length. He draws a little softer this time and if he can run up to what he produced most recently, he'll take plenty of beating. KICK A GOAL SON (1) comes through the same race as Town Hall, finishing alongside the top pick last time out. He just missed as favourite here two starts ago and he maps for a much softer run in transit today. Recent efforts suggest he has his hoof on the till. GLUTEN FREE (2) went close to winning last start and continued his recent run of strong form. The apprentice replacing the senior hoop is a little niggle, but it's hard to ignore his recent form and he should be in the finish once again. RED CADILLAC (8) is hard to knock on recent performances and while she is back in trip, she ran well here two back. Include. COUNTER DRIVE (3) can lead them up and take plenty of catching.

RACE 7 - DEBONNAIRE (1) won by 0.9L here last time out over 1200m and rises up to this trip once more. Both times he's been to this distance have been in tougher races and he looks well placed third-up into the campaign where he is a winner previously. Draws ideally and can bring up back-to-back wins. LACIE ACE (8) got over the top to win by 0.4L at this track last start, winning by 0.4L in Maiden grade. The wide draw is no issue as she'll get back anyway, and the rise in trip will be welcomed. Watch for her running over the top of them late. SHE'S A MACHINE (12) disappointed last start over 1760m after some strong efforts over the mile prior. She's right back in trip on this occasion, but she has performed well here earlier this campaign. Nicely drawn and won't be far away. MILITARY ACTION (5) is ticking along nicely this time in and can put his best foot forward. BRAZEN EMPRESS (7) can be in the finish if she can build on what she's done so far this campaign.
