Warmed up late after being beaten for early speed when fourth over 1600m at Swan Hill on June 9. Fitter now and should be able to race closer to the speed. SLATE RIPPER (2) only the one placing from seven starts and returned with a plugging eighth over 1300m at Echuca on June 13. Strips fitter and improvement anticipated. ASINGLEPROMISE (3) returns off a 37-day let-up after resuming with an even fifth over 1312m at Echuca on May 18. Since fitted with a 1300m trial at Bendigo on June 17. No surprise to see her take a hand in the finish. PROJECT XERO (7) next best.
RACE 2 - READ MY LIPS (2) is a seven-start maiden who finds his race today from the inside draw. Went under narrowly second-up when a gritty second over 1000m at this track on June 7. Back in trip and no excuses against this lot. BERNAY (3) returned with a slogging neck second in the heavy (9) going over 1000m at Wagga on May 31. Near her top now and looks close to a win. BRIMIN (6) drops sharply in weight today with the claim third-up and a win looks imminent. Went out hard before tiring late when fourth over 1000m at this track on June 7. Solid each way prospect. BRAVE EMMA (5) struggled on the synthetic tracks of late and should appreciate the drop back to 900m. Well drawn and has the ability to take a hand in the finish.
RACE 3 - RIVERBEND UNICORN (3) another who surprised on debut at big odds when powering late to secure second over 1175m at this track on June 7. Sure to take a lot from that hit out and looks one of the genuine prospects. IMPENDING LOVE (8) placed this track and trip and much better performance at latest when she charged late to finish third over 1000m at Narrandera on June 15. Can sneak into the minor money. ROCAS GRANDES (4) hasn't raced since finishing second over 1200m at Wagga Riverside on April 8. Fitter for a placing in a recent Canberra Acton trial. Well drawn and one of the chances. SARGEANT STAN (10) colt by Magnus from Whitney on debut. Ran fifth at his most recent trial at Albury on June 7. Worth watching for a market push.
RACE 4 - SPITFIRE (4) undefeated at this track and has a solid record over the mile. Will find this more to his liking after racing in stronger company of late. Warmed up late from well back when sixth to TIME QUEST over 1600m at Warwick Farm June 5. Maps well and a return to form is anticipated. DALY HEADS (7) trained on the track and recent runs have been sound. Ticks plenty of boxes today out to the mile and is a genuine top-three player. READY TO HUMBLE (1) yet to win over the mile in ten attempts. At his top for this and should be able to get control early from the good gate with the 2kg claim. Expected to be in this for a long way. NATS ENOUGH (9) returned to form in much easier grade with the 59kg when scoring by 1.75 lens over 1500m at Goulburn three weeks ago. Drops 8kg with the claim today and not to be underestimated.
RACE 5 - HE'S MY WARRIOR (1) at his top for this and carries the big weights well. Placed at the provincials earlier in the prep and narrowly beaten when a long neck second over 1400m here on June 7. Can go one better here. IMPOSING TALLULAH (9) trained on the track and will need a Winona Costin special from the wide draw. A month between runs when up in trip for a tiring seventh over 1400m at this track on June 7. Has each-way prospects. KING DE LUNE (2) progressive gelding who registered his first win at start three when resuming with a dominant victory over 1400m at Wangaratta on June 2. Further improved now and looks ready for this tougher assignment. THE WOKE WAITER (8) finished just 1.1 lengths away in sixth last start over 1400m at this track. Among the top chances.
RACE 6 - STARLIGHT GIRL (3) racing in career best form this time in and chasing her third straight win today. Taken to the front and never headed when scoring in BM66 company over 1000m at Goulburn on June 3. Will prove hard to catch again. SUPER SUNNY SEEYA (4) trained on the track and not a bad effort when resumed with the 60.5kg when fifth over 900m at this track on June 7. Drop in weight suits and can add value to the exotics. LITTLE MISS GRACE (6) and CAPTAIN CORELLI (8) can both play a role in the finish fresh-up.
RACE 7 - ALL ASTERN (2) sound return over this track and trip when she stalked the pace to go under in a tight finish when second on June 7. Undefeated second-up and should prove too strong for these today. CHAMPAGNE SHARON (3) disappointed as fav when dropped out sharply to finish seventh behind All Astern at latest. Well drawn again and senior rider on today. WANALOAN (10) snagged back from the wide gate and failed to get into the contest when eighth over this track and trip on June 7. Low gate helps with the claim. MAGMETRIC (1) disappointed as fav when returned with a fading eighth over 1200m at Wagga on June 17. This looks easier and placed second-up in the past. Improver.
