Not that far away when eighth over 1300m here on June 18. Distance suits and expecting more today.

RACE 3 - INVADE AND CONQUER (2) eight-start maiden with his hoof on the till. Two runs back have been sound and finds a fairly weak maiden here after running on late when third over 1100m at Wyong on June 13. No excuses today. NIGHTS INFERNO (8) even effort in the heavy (9) conditions on debut when a plugging fifth over 1100m at Randwick on June 8. Further improved and looks a genuine player on the firmer track. SIZZLING TALE (5) massive run first-up at big odds when taken to the front to hold on for a narrow fourth over 1300m at Hawkesbury on June 18. Claim helps again and has solid prospects. EXCEED THE SKY (4) resumes here after placing twice on the provincial circuit last time in. Now in the Nathan Doyle yard and fitted with the one trial over 1000m. Stays in the mix.

RACE 4 - FROM THE BUSH (2) struggling for form of late and will appreciate the massive class drop today. Up in trip at latest from the wide gate when a plugging 13th over 1900m at Canterbury on June 10. Ticks plenty of boxes here from the good draw with the claim and expected to go close. VERBEK (8) has a sound record over this track and trip. Taken straight to the front and never headed when a slick 2.5 len winner over 1600m at Wyong on June 13. Expected to cope with the rise in weight and has the numbers to win again. MICKEY'S MEDAL (1) improving gelding who will find this easier fifth-up after sitting on the speed with a fighting second over 1550m at Canterbury on June 10. Has won at this venue and expected to take a hand in the finish. REMUS (7) strips fitter now after looking a chance at the 200m before failing to go on with the job when sixth over 1600m at Randwick in Midway company on June 8. Minor money prospects best.

RACE 5 - SOVEREIGN EXPRESS (3) comes to hand fairly quickly and solid return when he came from near last on the turn to finish a close fifth over this trip at Warwick Farm in BM72 grade on June 5. Can race closer from the inside gate and return to winning form. UNDIVIDED (6) back for his second prep and third-up today. Failed to finish the race off with the 60.5kg when a plugging fifth over 1200m at Kembla Grange on May 28. Racing like the trip will suit and looks good each-way value. BEND THE KNEE (4) win record hardly excites but fitter now after two runs back. Stuck on well late when seventh over 1200m at Wyong on June 6. Nicely placed to turn things around on the firmer track. LADY DEVINE (8) resumes from a ten-week break and has a sound fresh record. Lone win came at this track and since fitted with a recent trial over 740m at Warwick Farm. Look for her charging late.

RACE 6 - BATTLE OF VIENNA (3) won well first-up and plagued by bad barriers ever since. Covered ground from the wide gate when up in grade for a tiring seventh over 1250m at Canterbury on May 29. This is an easier assignment and can turn things around from the good draw. I AM FAMOUS (6) returned in good style with J Mac aboard when accounting for a handy maiden field over 1300m at Warwick Farm on June 5. Confidence is high and can play a leading role again. HOUSE OF CARDS (5) Exceed And Excel gelding resuming after bumping into some promising types last time in. Fitted with two recent trials and expected to have developed further over the break. Can return in winning order. STAR LEGACY (8) only the one win from 15 starts and strips fitter after resuming with a fighting fourth over 1200m at Kembla Grange on May 28. Claim helps and can sneak into the minor money at odds.

RACE 7 - EYE OF THE FIRE (4) has race fitness on his side and far from disgraced in town when taken to the front for a gritty fifth over 1100m at Warwick Farm with the claim on June 5. This is easier and will prove hard to catch again despite drawing out. ARTIEBETT (11) scored her third victory when resuming for a fast-finishing win over 1000m at Goulburn on June 3. Going nicely through her grades and her second-up record is equally as strong. LADY SHENANIGANS (8) tough gelding trained on the track who gets his chance from the gate. Never comfortable in the going at the latest and go on his solid win two back when assessing  his chances. MON PIERRE (6) even return from a three month break when sitting on the speed for a tiring fourth over 1000m at Goulburn on June 3. Comes to hand quickly and looks good each way value.
