RACE 1 - Tricky. BAYBOUGG (5) resumed with a solid placing. She has plenty up her sleeve and Newitt is a key jockey switch replacing the apprentice. Stablemate WILD NIGHTS (6) peaks off a tidy placing and the 2kg claimer replaced Newitt. Maps well and is ready to win. LIGHT FORCE (3) debuts and looked sharp winning a recent trial. Pires sticks aboard and steers from the rails gate. The betting will be key. ANGEL SPHERE (4) was good first up and may control the race. A chance with the extra fitness.

RACE 2 - SUNRISE AT KIRRA (12) missed a nose from the speed and things didn't work out following and prepared to forgive. He will push forward and Pires is a key jockey switch. Peaks and rates best. NEED TO THINK (6) went close here and then held that form on the synthetic. She also peaks and gets in well again with the 2kg claim. OCEAN EYES (7) switched from a NSW barn and needed the first-up outing. She has plenty up her sleeve and sharp improvement won't surprise. GEE GEES MOONLITE (3) resumes with Newitt booked. Has the rail and is a betting watch.

RACE 3 - LOVE NEST (6) has been busting to win and there was nothing much in it last start as favourite. Newitt sticks aboard and his form stands right out. STEEL CONNECTION (10) comes out of the same race beaten 2.4L. She gives away starts but can run into the money. GAZZA'S SPIRIT (1) is a lightly raced improver but it will be tougher finding the speed today from an outside barrier. MISS PEBBLES (7) tries hard and they keep persevering. Maps for a soft run and should be around the mark.

RACE 4 - RUBBLE 'N' FUDD (3) went back-to-back spacing a CL3 field over 1200m heavily bet. The extra metres shouldn't bother and the promising gelding can deliver the hat trick. DAYAN STAR (1) comes back from the mile where he just missed a place in a 60. Newitt is reunited and has won 2/2 on the gelding. He can make the finish. MAKE A DECISION (2) was going well before a plainer effort in the Rubble 'N' Fuddle race. Gives away starts but can feature with average luck. EASTCOAST MISS (5) is up to this at best but the form has tapered off his last two. The blinkers come off and she's worth including.

RACE 5 - RAFAEL'S RAID (3) races forward and ran a string of placings before delivering in a 68 over this distance. A leading hoop goes aboard today and despite the weight rise he can go on with the job. FIORENTE DE LEGEND (5) is third-up and ready to show more. He's raced well at Listed grade over this distance and has trialled since last seen. Has a handy 2kg claim and keep very safe. Newitt goes aboard PUMA (2) and expect him to improve over the longer distance and back to the turf. SCANDALOUS AFFAIR (6) may also appreciate the middle distance.

RACE 6 - MONTEZULU (4) won easily this trip and then went close off a wide gate in a 68. Keeps the 2kg claim in easier grade and maps better today. A decent chance to bounce. CAPTAIN MORGAN (3) got too far back in the same race but was narrowly beaten both starts prior also in stronger than this. Keeps the 2kg claim but will need luck if he drifts back from the rails gate as expected. SOUTHERN WIND (2) placed in that contest and delivered in a 70 the one before. Maps well and he's also a chance. PAGE (5) tries hard and would be a hope bringing his A-game.

RACE 7 - JEHBENTI (1) is proven third-up and is ready to fire. He rates right up to this and maps for a soft run. GOLDEN MEADOW (2) missed a nose on the synthetic showing more like his best. At his best on the turf and has won 3/3 this distance. Pires sticks and the rails gate should advantage. FEAR THE STING (5) resumes owning a 9L trial win here and has the first-time blinkers applied. Newitt rides and a bold run is likely. NAVAL ANTHEM (3) just missed in the Jebenti race making sharp improvement. Has a 2kg claim today and would be a hope holding the form.
