RACE 1 - MOON OVER MATILDA (11) switched barns and resumed with a 1L defeat here over 1200m. She was bet into a short quote and it was a promising effort. The niggle is the shorter sprint but she has more to give and can go one better. LAKE VARNA (3) was on-speed at Home Hill third-up beaten 1L. That was her best form since the switch from a NSW barn. She draws inside and will get every chance. OUR FOLLY (4) debuts without a public trial. Draws wide but Stanley's booking interests. ALIVE ALIVE OH (9) debuts and has trialled well. She has a handy 2kg claim but needs a touch of luck from the awkward gate.

RACE 2 - HUMOUR ME (6) has plenty of ability but has been off the scene for 426 days. She will run along from an inside barrier and owns a 5.5L Rockhampton trial win. Some trust is required but she's suited and looks ready to go. COSTNER (2) has switched from the State's premier barn on a 36-day return. He's been underperforming in much better Maidens but his form in NSW early doors is certainly good enough for this. Draws out but Huxtable is a positive jockey booking. CANDLELIT (1) resumed with a near miss at Townsville but was swamped after at Cairns with a warning placed on his racing manners. He draws much better today and the extra gear is removed. Keeps Butler and no surprise to see him back on track. SIMPLY TINA (9) resumes off a deserved Maiden win at Cairns. She will carry just 51kg and will be naturally improved. Goes in at a price.

RACE 3 - Tricky. AMBERINGER (9) resumes at the Sunshine Coast beaten just 2.3L after leading. She'd come off a Rockhampton trial win and has more to give. Fitter and should be hard to beat. GEE UP (3) debuts for the sharp Clinton Taylor barn with Stanley sticking from two tidy Rockhampton trials. He has the blinkers on and maps for the run of the race. Profiles positively and this is winnable. LONHY'S FABRE (5) debuts and his recent Rockhampton trial was good. Butler rides and that's a lead. He's drawn to advantage. RANRAHRAH (12) and THE HOME TEAM (13) both resume for the Walsh yard. Top riders have been booked and they have to be kept safe.

RACE 4 - A tough race. SPRING'S GIFT (7) impressed last campaign but has looked in need of racing this time around. She will be fitter and has a key jockey switch to Stanley. Maps well and she should be ready to fire. GIGI FILLE (8) is ex-Sydney and she had good support here first-up and didn't have much luck. The tongue tie is applied today and she's worth another chance. BO BO BEWARE (1) is a former Sydney galloper resuming for the new stable. His form early last preparation was good but it tapered off over longer journeys. Huxtable is a positive jockey booking and must be kept very safe. ARIK LAD (16) is capable on his day and will be around the mark.

RACE 5 - DECIDUOUS (3) led and won the CL3 easily here over this distance showing more like his Victorian best. He gets in well with the 2kg claim and looks to have turned the corner. MOKTAFFY (1) brings a win in this grade from Townsville and just missed there prior over this trip. He has been kept fresh and the rails gate is there to use. Huxtable rides today and strikes at 20% with the yard. LADY MASQUERADE (7) won the 55 here over 1300m heavily bet. She sits down in the weights and should run out the 1560m. CEASAR (2) is a former Victorian who'd be right in the finish at best. He was well supported here last time and Wiggins goes aboard. Keep very safe.

RACE 6 - Competitive. BLUE RAY (1) switched from a Brisbane barn and found a place at Rockhampton first-up. 28% stable striker Butler goes aboard today and he's at his best this distance range. Fitter and rates well. READY TO PARDON (5) was outgraded in a Quality last start but had been around the mark the two prior in Townsville Open 3s. Maps well and Stanley is a key jockey booking. SET THE SAILS (6) made sharp improvement narrowly beaten at Home Hill. He's still well shy of his Victorian best and should be around the mark. MR GREY (4) raced forward and was a big Maiden winner here over this distance. He has a wide gate to contend with today but can get some of the cash.

RACE 7 - BLUE KENTUCKY MOON (4) was quickly back on track beaten a whisker here riding the speed. He draws to better advantage today and fitter again can go one better. COURTESY BUS (9) lifted beaten a nose at Rockhampton from the front bet into short-priced favouritism. Has to skip across from an awkward gate today but is well-placed to go one better, COCHRANE (6) just beat Blue Kentucky Moon home here and it was a strong and deserved victory. The weights don't work out as well today but he has the rail and gets every chance. CIRCULARITY (2) is capable and finally jumps from an inside gate. Huxtable's booking is a positive and he should be ready to show more.

RACE 8 - Tricky. PARA PARK CHANCE (2) was on speed winning this grade at Home Hill. He draws wide but should have the gate speed to skip across and 20% stable striker Huxtable is reunited. He can win again with average luck. CONVERTOR (3) won a Maiden by a space at Townsville and then finished tailed off in a Cairns 58 and likely has excuses. The gate is awkward but Stanley rides for the first time and will give the well-bred galloper every chance to bounce. SENSATIONABULL (11) was plain at Bowen but the form around that reads okay. Got to within 1L this grade last time and has a hope. ISSHEGREY (9) missed by a similar margin at Home Hill and will also be around the mark.

RACE 9 - SHAMEDY (5) brings strong form to resumption. He's proven fresh and owns two trial wins. He maps for a soft run and has a ratings edge. Huxtable rides and is building a tidy record with the in-form yard. BEAUTY BOOM (7) ran favourite and deserved the 70 win here. Disappointed at Cairns after when well supported again. He races forward and is worth another chance. SENNAPROST (14) won the 70 this track/trip capping a strong run of form. Wiggins is reunited and he can go back-to-back without surprising. BRINGYATICKET (1) has had one blip in a string of solid efforts. Butler stays aboard and the rails gate is there to use. He can get into the finish with average luck.
