Black Heart Bart took his record to 14 wins from 34 starts in scoring his third Group One win here. He settled nicely, well back in third place, following a solid tempo (set by The Cleaner). He moved up well rounding the home turn, took the lead at the 200m and then drew clear to score impressively. He Or She was a distant fourth on the rails, got to third at the 100m and then fought really well for a good second. Lucia Valentina was a distant seventh to the 600m, she switched out at the 300m (under riding) and kept running on well to take third in a pleasing second up effort. Jacquinot Bay chased the The Cleaner racing back in second place and did well in holding on for (2.8 lengths) fourth. Awesome Rock was back in fifth place most of the way and held that position at the post (beaten 3.6 lengths) while The Cleaner set a strong tempo in front as usual, and led the field to the 200m before finishing (3.9 lengths) sixth.
