The Colin Little-trained three-year-old Kazio put up a promising effort in winning here on debut. He was ridden quietly and settled in second last pace in the eight-horse field before improving nicely, between runners, rounding the home turn. He challenged in the centre of the track at the 200m, hit the front at the 50m and then went on to win easily.
