The Darren Weir-trained colt Tamasa is now unbeaten in two starts following his debut win in a three-year-old maiden (1200m) at Warrnambool on 20 October with another good win here. He settled in seventh place (on the rails), improved behind the leading group at the home turn but was blocked on straightening. He finally got clear at the 100m in switching back to the rails and then finished well to grab a good win. He looks a progressive colt.
