Catanach's Jewellers Stakes (LR)
The Huntress was eased from her inside barrier and settled seventh on the rails, pulling a bit in the average early pace. She was travelling well but blocked nearing the turn but Glen Boss skilfully angled between runners on straightening. The filly challenged at the 200m then drew away to win well by a length, remaining unbeaten in two starts. Tonyboy was seventh one off the rails to the 600m. He fanned very wide at the turn, dashed up to challenge at the 200m then fought on well for a good second. The favourite Churchill Dancer had a good run in fourth place between runners. He moved up three wide on straightening, took a narrow lead at the 200m then fought on for third after appearing to have every chance. *ANZ
